So my ex has taken a cash in hand job in order to avoid having to pay child maintenance. I've reported this to child maintenance who have said that the case will be referred to their Financial Investigation Unit.
Has anyone had any experience with this? Do you know if this unit is ever successful in catching people evading tax/HMRC/child maintenance? What kind of methods do they use to catch people?
