Probably stupid 'trampoline' question

Sorry if this sounds a bit daft....
We are buying dd an 8ft trampoline for her birthday. Our house has a maisonette backing onto it and its front door opens facing our back fence iyswim. Basically the guy who lives there is very rude and generally makes me feel uncomfortable when the children are playing in the garden. Dp is worried that getting said tramopline will probably p**s him right off. Does anyone know if there are any guidelines about having trampolines, like blocking his view etc. Just want to be covered really when he kicks off.

Hope this makes sense, I'm at work and a bit tired now

Well it's not a permanent structure so you don't need planning permission . Um if you own your own home then I can't see it being an issue. Best bet - check with the CC to see if there are any by-laws I'd be surprised if there were any issues with a trampoline though.

Here in the USA many of us live within Housing Owner Associations (HOA) and even though we own our own home you have to run things past the HOA. But even we don't have to run trampolines passed them.

If the guy over the way doesn't like it then tough. Legally there's nothing he can do. Smile sweetly at him when he complains. It's guaranteed to piss him off even more.

Smile sweetly as I'm bouncing 6ft in the air should have even more of an effect!
