SSDGM have yout lost weight already GrinGrinGrin can you feel it dropping offWink

TrippleFlappyDiamondSparrow · 23/08/2017 14:44

Salon went live last night in her not so secret group - acted a complete victim, made out like this was all personal attacks on her and she is just a rep like everybody else.

SSDGM · 23/08/2017 16:26

....and then asked everyone to lend her a tenner until Fri-Pay? 😂😂😂

darceybussell · 23/08/2017 17:14

The problem is that, with great power comes great responsibility. You can't be a top leader with all the money and power that goes with that, but then wash your hands of it when it goes wrong. Well... you can I guess, but prepare to be slated for it!

Anyone remember the MD of BP a few years back when there was a massive oil spill - it was a huge disaster and they were criticised heavily - and he had the audacity to say to the press that he wanted his life back?

darceybussell · 23/08/2017 17:17

Although obvs salon is not comparable to the MD of a big listed company Grin - but she is the face of this and the one who is ultimately responsible - even if she didn't know (she did).

Anyway if we are talking criminal law, ignorance is no defence. If she gets caught by action fraud I'm afraid she's going down whether she knew it was a pyramid scheme or not.

SSDGM · 23/08/2017 17:17

Well, I didn't feel like I was about to have a panic attack like I did when I took those pills I bought off the internet other diet supplements. It was just a pissy cup of instant coffee with strange bits in. I wonder if @TheRealBarnBot can illuminate on what the bits are?

fitgirl26 · 23/08/2017 17:35

They're small pieces of downline's souls @SSDGM

darceybussell · 23/08/2017 17:38

Fitgirl - hahaha brilliant!

GavinFromTradingStandards · 23/08/2017 18:51

I'm hoping it does block carbs, I've had a bag of salt and vinegar walkers while watching the telly even though I had chilli and rice for dinner. My insides haven't fallen out yet. Will drink my next cup first thing in the morning and try to swill down the bits of bots in it this time.

Seen earlier today on good old fb:

"Please explain to me why.......
You'll buy candles 👃 from Yankee Candles, but not your Scentsy or Country Candles rep?
You'll buy makeup 💋💄 from Ulta, but not your Mary Kay, Younique, Limelight, MUE rep?
You'll buy supplements or shakes from GNC, but not your Le-Vel, ItWorks rep or BeachBody coach?
You'll buy wine 🍾🍷 from the liquor store, but not through a wine club?
You'll buy clothes 👗👖👚👕 and bags 👛👜👝🛍️🎒 from Target, but you've never tried LuLa Roe, Buskins or Thirty One?
Why are we as a society so apt to support the big retailers, but not our family and friends?
Yes, I realize sometimes pricing is the factor, but remember you get what you pay for. Direct sales companies sell the best of their products and the purchase comes with great customer service through your rep!
I challenge each of you to purchase one thing from a friend this week instead of from a store! Just one thing! That one thing is helping your friend support his/her dream!"

There are just so many reasons really...

BSintolerant · 23/08/2017 22:36

SSDGM Do you know anyone who works in a lab who would be willing to test the coffee for you? I'm not taking the piss (which will come as quite a shock to some of you) but it would be interesting to know what is in this alleged coffee.

TheRealBarnbot · 23/08/2017 22:49

Im not testing it...... Id end up accidently discovering an undercover drug ring ran by mafia bosses knowing my luck! 😂

SSDGM · 23/08/2017 23:17

Oh I don't know anyone that clever, I don't think. I wonder if anyone on Botwatch or Timeless Vie can help?

EnglishGirlApproximately · 23/08/2017 23:34

Hello all, I'm a bit behind on these threads but I've come across something this week that I'm wondering if anyone here's come across. It's called The Travel Tribe, and is claiming t be a travel agent homeworking company/franchise. The issue is that I can't see any holidays for sale. I've come across them as a couple of their 'agents' have started following my FB page (I am a homeworking travel agent and I market a lot on social media). The language on their pages is very much like mlm language, lots of emojis, talk of doing your dream job, making lots of money, seeing the world and advertising for people to join the tribe. The only website link I can see appears to be American (talks of toll-free calls). Some of the claims they make are impossible - I.e. Selling tour operators who only sell direct not through agents.
I haven't banned them from my page as I'm curious to see what they do, but I'm worried that a friend who has been talking about moving to homeworking has liked them, she's quite naive with thing she like this and will be easily swayed by talk of high earnings.

Sorry for the essay, was just wondering if anyone had come address this, and if it's a new style of mlm. There's a close door Facebook group with the sub heading 'Travel, Share, Earn - PlanNet marketing'

SSDGM · 23/08/2017 23:45

Hey English. I work in the travel industry too and I've seen these clowns before. It's absolutely MLM. If you try asking them about their ABTA or ATOL licenses there won't be one. They aren't a member of any consortia either so it's impossible for them to have any sort of buying power.

I did put one of these people to the test once. Gave her my dates of travel and where I wanted and the only thing she came up with that I couldn't get was a hotel in Mexico who, when I searched for, was part of a timeshare and you got massively discounted rooms if you went to a "presentation". They're not travel agents and I wouldn't trust them with a Butlins break, let alone with Dynamic packaging.

I work for a major ancillary supplier and we do not have any accounts with any of these companies.

EnglishGirlApproximately · 23/08/2017 23:50

SSDGM I've found reports about similar but mostly US or overseas. I'm going to let them keep following me just out of curiosity but I wonder if those signing up actually believe they'll be selling holidays? The give away was the blurb about being able to book Virgin and undercut Thomson Hmm. They are claiming ATOL on one of the pages, but not ABTA.

Just what the travel industry needs Angry

SSDGM · 23/08/2017 23:59

Exactly, they don't have a clue. They pay for "training" to make them "qualified" travel agents when you and I know the only qualification you need to be a decent agent is a thick skin and a sense of humour.

How about you send them a TUI screen shot of a holiday you know they are selling at or below net and ask them to beat?

EnglishGirlApproximately · 24/08/2017 00:03

I might just do that! If any of us could undercut Tui and still make money we'd all be doing it Grin

SSDGM · 24/08/2017 00:12

I just found this on the Inteletravel page, which is what they call the agency they use.

ATOL is a set of consumer protection regulations that applies to “Principals” or “Originators” of travel packages, the holiday companies that create the trips/deals. InteleTravel and you are “Agents” selling those packages and are not properly subject to ATOL. However all the holiday and package products InteleTravel agents sell to customers will be ATOL protected by the companies/brands that originate them.

So they are not a principle and do not have their own ATOL. All their packages use the ATOL of the supplier which means they cannot strictly dypac with ground arrangements and have to go through a 3rd party to build the package.
It also said in July their ABTA membership was pending and should take "up to" 45 days.
Their cruise bookings are done through US contracts so customers won't have UK protection there and it does say they can't book direct with any tour ops. They have to go through the Inteletravel agent log in.

cozietoesie · 24/08/2017 00:22

Where do the ££££ enter into the equation? (In other words, do you have to cough up hard cash to join the 'tribe'? ) Smile

SSDGM · 24/08/2017 00:40

Yep $179 to start then $40 a month membership fee. They split the booking commission with you 70/30 plus for each new agent you recruit you get $50 kick back.

SSDGM · 24/08/2017 00:42

Oh.. and to get the 70/30 split you have to hit their set sales targets.

SSDGM · 24/08/2017 01:20

I can't stop peeing. Is this it? Am I about to lose 15 stones in a day???
