Packaged accounts - Natwest

has anyone had any joy reclaiming from natwest? I submitted and was told I would have some sort of response with 10 days 2 weeks ago
is it likely if they were going to refund they would have done it by now?

Hmm I'm in the same boat. I claimed/complained about two weeks ago - had the standard "we are looking in to..." letter but nothing else since.

I have to go in to NatWest anyway to actually cancel the charges and change my account to a no-fee account. So it's possible they're waiting for me to do that??!

It will be treated as a complaint and as such they have 8 weeks in which to look into it.

If you don't get a full response within 8 weeks, or if you get a no, take it to the Financial Ombudsman.

FYI I've just had a letter and the delightful news that they're upholding my complaint!! They didn't even get in touch to query anything. I'm now about two grand better off than I was on Friday. Grin

Hi,
Did you send a standard letter, how did you go about this?
Considering trying to reclaim on an advantage gold account.
Thanks.

I used a website called Resolver. www.resolver.co.uk/complaints/finance-complaints
It sends a template letter on your behalf once you've completed their form. Very simple and, in my case, very effective.
