They are backing down on charges

Opps - that was a bit brief! If you remember a while back quite a few of us were cross with FD for introducing ten pound a month charge for a current acct if you did not pay in 1500 a month?

I closed my acct to go to lovely SMILE and as I did so, FD offered to waive charges.

Ha Ha. My DH has moved his more lucrative accts too so I think they are losing customers that they now regret

but if you do decide to stay, it might be worth asking for charges to be dropped

ps smile is great - good interest, easy website, no problems changing whatsoever, and all ethical banking UNLIKE FD and HSBC
