Does anyone use a basic budgeting app and if so would you recommend it?
I've been writing my spending down, but thought an app might be useful.
Thanks

I don't have one myself but watching with interest as I'd like one!

I use DollarBird - classic.dollarbird.co/

I really like it - it's displays like a calendar, so you can see exactly what should be in your bank account on any given day. Takes a little bit of setting up (you add in what day payments are made) but I wouldn't be without it now.

I use good budget. It's working out alright for me tbh. You allocate your spending into envelopes and input the payments in as and when

I've used ynab (you need a budget) for about 3 years and i'm not exaggerating when i say it's changed my life.

You have to account for every penny, everything goes into categories. I was that person who would get paid and see loads of money in the bank and go straight to river island Grin whereas now i have the money in but look at my entertainment / shopping category and see i have £200 for the month.

Makes it a lot easier to keep track. I havent gone into my overdraft once since getting it. Plus i save throughout the year for things like xmas / car insurance now.

Honestly life changing

Another vote for YNAB. Life changing stuff indeed.
