Car insurance / black box.

Hi does anyone have experience with the telematics insurance policies?

I've read bad reviews but I could save over £500 per year.
I've only had my license 1& 1/2 years.
Are they good or do they make mistakes and make you look like bad drivers like some reviews say?

Thanks

I had one for my first year after I passed. It made me drive better than I would have done without. Mine gave feedback every 10 days and got money back every quarter. I always got money back.

The only thing that got on my nerves was cornering. I always got the 'needs improvement' for that. It wanted me to take every corner at 5mph it seemed.

But definitely worth it for the money I saved

I have a black box and I don't even notice it's there. Go with the Co-Operative, that's who I'm with and I cannot fault them :).

My black box monitors speed, braking, and turning corners and they send me money back for good driving :)

Thanks for your reply.
Are you on a normal policy now? If so why?

Thanks Molibu.
I'll look at their quotes.

Normal policy now because it was cheaper than having a black box again
