Best supermarket credit card for points/vouchers?

Only just heard a tip today of doing monthly food shop by credit card with a supermarket credit card and they use points to pay for Christmas shop.
I'm good at budgeting but never had a credit card before.
What's the best credit card around?
I shop at ocado, tescos, aldi, Waitrose, occasionally Sainsbury's.
I'll be paying it off straight away.

IME Tesco clubcard gives the best benefits for vouchers, spending etc. I use their MasterCard to pay for Tesco shopping to boost points.

Goldangel what do you use your points on at tesco? I used to use them on their double up times to buy stuff around the house but now they've stopped that I'm not sure what to spend them on

We swapped recently to a Barclaycard Freedom Rewards card. You collect points for ALL of your spending and can convert into vouchers for tonnes of different things inc Amazon.

We stopped using our Tesco card when they changed from 1 point per £4 to 1 point per £8. Even with triple value Boost deals, that's now only 0.375%, with what you can spend it on severely restricted. Given you can get 0.5% cashback cards, they're clearly better.

FWIW, we mostly spend Tesco points on Days Out vouchers, restaurant vouchers and occasionally memberships/subscriptions.

Ding3kids, we often use the vouchers for meals out, they give 4 x voucher amount, I.e £10 in vouchers =£40 for prezzo, ask Italian etc

We've also used them for days out vouchers i.e. Southend Adventure Island and camera obscura in Edinburgh.

We get one point for every £1 we spend at Tesco / Tesco direct/wine/fuel/clothing etc, when I pay with the Tesco MasterCard I get an extra 1 point for every £4 spent at Tesco & £1 for every £8 spent outside of Tesco. The points do add up.

Agree with thepants, it might be better value with other cash back cards on non Tesco purchases, but I find Tesco clubcard way more generous in rewards than nectar card when it comes to supermarket purchases.
