I've got someone promoting 'pearl popping' parties on my FB. From what I can gather you send the host some money to open an oyster that may or may not contain a pearl?

Is this just a 'harmless' waste of time and money or will it result in trying to recruit more hosts?

64PooLane · 07/07/2017 19:34

I've been a lurker on this thread for a bit and was just gearing up to add my first post, about my lovely friend in the US who's now a doterra (sp?) essential oils bot. Her FB post today made me feel a bit sad for her/cross on her behalf. Some kind of trip to the Dominican Republic is being dangled at her if she can only earn it (probably never to be achieved), and she's a genuinely nice person who I've known since she was a baby and she says she is "feeling blessed" and, grrrrr. I want to rescue her.

But back to that later.

The GHD bot thread now says that the real bride in that situation has stated she isn't the OP claiming to be her here on MN (sorry - garbled). Confused

Don't suppose anyone can clarify?

cozietoesie · 07/07/2017 20:17

I'd just let it go now. MNHQ can work it all out and do what they wish.

acatcalledjohn · 07/07/2017 20:20

Agreed @Spongebobette, although you'd think someone her husband has by now told her to stop fucking about with FL. She's permanently skint, and ever since her chat with her upline a few weeks the skint posts have disappeared and it's all about the supernatural 'if the cards say it it must be true, I'm so accurate' bollocks.

Disclaimer: I'm not woo in the slightest.

Spongebobette · 07/07/2017 20:23

So sad

I'm tempted to post this on her page acat

Wasn't it?

acatcalledjohn · 07/07/2017 20:44

She could do with that. But you'll just be a hater.

Her husband needs to make a stand. He looks terribly uncomfortable in every photo he appears in. And the poor bloke is working his arse off to keep one income steady.

She comes across as terribly sweet and kind hearted, but dim and very deluded.

Spongebobette · 07/07/2017 21:20

Well that was all rather interesting on the thread about the broken GHDs and the non attendee at a wedding. The thread has been deleted.

Now bracing for a post from the uberbot about bullying and bitter twisted keyboard warriors

Well the wedding thread has now been removed. Definitely for the best. I have my own personal view about what was going on, and lets face it, it has brought a lot of attention to certain things. Here we go again, talk about groundhog day. I admit I was fooled and it will not happen again. Not going to mention it again. Lets carry on as normal my fellow keyboard warriors eeeeekkkkkk.Wink

BSintolerant · 07/07/2017 21:53

My spidey senses suggest that a narcissistic cunt of a bot was behind that wedding thread.

Spongebobette · 07/07/2017 21:54

Wow no way, really?

Cakietea · 07/07/2017 21:55

Thoroughly enjoyed a browse on browbots page, it was a bit light on any pictures except heavily filtered selfies, but lots of self agrandising and the lap dog in tow, oh and her canine friends Grin
Most entertaining, and amazing to think people actually get taken in by this shite!

TrippleFlappyDiamondSparrow · 07/07/2017 21:57

Yes, the lady who's wedding it was. Is saying someone pretended to be her and she never posted any of it and is now a victim of cyber bullying and identity theft. 🤔

Spongebobette · 07/07/2017 22:04

Hmm Mumsnet didn't say though that they'd established that the OP wasn't her, just that there was doubt

Mysterious

I'm just a bit curious here, but isn't it wrong to photoshop your forever living chairman's bonus cheque and make it look like a cheque under your business name??

Krispiesquare · 07/07/2017 22:13

Ugh can anyone here who knows me away from MN please confirm that I am not a sock puppet Sad

inaclearingstandsaboxer · 07/07/2017 22:30

Krispie isn't a sock puppet ...says my friends Sooty and Sweep... (joking)

Viva la rakes!

cozietoesie · 07/07/2017 22:48

Don't worry, Krispie. MNHQ have decided that the thread should go. It's not worth wondering about the motivation of the person posting.

BSintolerant · 07/07/2017 23:47

I know Krispie from beyond the mumsnet. Not a sock in sight!

Rakey rakey!

64PooLane · 08/07/2017 00:00

Now bracing for a post from the uberbot about bullying and bitter twisted keyboard warriors

It has appeared. There is a meme, and there are brave comments about not letting the bullies affect her any more.

DayToDayGlobalShit · 08/07/2017 00:20

Ooh can someone pm me uberbot please. Still trying to catch up with it all.
In other news there is a delightful Star Saturday event in Birmingham today with recognition awards for nu skin so prepare yourselves for inane clapping and whopping over the mega cardboard cheques from your bots

TrippleFlappyDiamondSparrow · 08/07/2017 00:25

That post browbot has posted is actually hilarious.

All for telling us to get off the Internet and spend time with our families but spends all her time posting her whole life over Facebook. 8 different things she posted yesterday 🙈😂

Vancitybrit · 08/07/2017 00:59

Her follow up review post of the controversial straighteners is very contradictory too. She says she did it on "sweaty gym hair" but in her rush to Argos post her hair was allegedly "soaking wet". That was at well after 3pm and her first sweaty gym post was before 12 - no shower for over 4 hours??? I don't think she was ever planning on attending the wedding.

Also the bride who didn't start the other thread would appear to be both a FL and a Jamberry bot. My FB bot is a serial mlmer - jumping from one to another when it doesn't work out and never making any money. It makes me so sad for her.
