Some people will do anything for publicity and that (now defunct) troll thread has created a fair bit more. It'd be easy enough for MN to trace the IP address of the original poster.

Don't have nightmares ... Hmm

Jonsey32 · 08/07/2017 20:47

Ok. It's as I thought.

I was aware of the whole hairdryer / straightener thing I just hadn't seen the thread last night which is where these allegations of cyber bullying have come from and wanted to know if there had been any name calling.
She has implied today that this thread called her fat and slagged off her eyebrows?

Spongebobette · 08/07/2017 21:03

There was one remark about her eyebrows

I read every post and no one called her fat

But it suits her narrative to say that someone did

It's just sad that so many people have fallen for what she says.

I know we're a pretty determined bunch but I've never really noticed any meaness or what I would define as bullying .

cozietoesie · 08/07/2017 21:51

Just let it go.Smile

Well I'm fat. She is thinner than me. She generally looks lovely - very polished, nicely made up etc. I think the whole eyebrows thing actually came from admiring them!

(I do have very good eyebrows naturally though - mind you I HATE keeping them tidy).

Jonsey32 · 08/07/2017 22:16

I really shouldn't let it get to me so much but it drives me insane.

I've recently lost a friend to a MLM and it upsets me so much because she's turned In to one of "them" Angry

cozietoesie · 08/07/2017 22:48

No. You shouldn't let it get to you. (Although losing a friend is a bad hurt.)

Jonsey32 · 08/07/2017 22:52

I'm half way through a lovely bottle of Sauvignon blanc. Feeling much calmer! X

missdoings · 08/07/2017 22:54

I've got a fb friend (not someone I hang about with regularly but I know her and like her) posting insane claims about how one coffee a day is going to get you a dream body within weeks. I'm dying to post Bot Watch stuff but I assume I'd be blocked.

acatcalledjohn · 08/07/2017 22:54

Twunk's back!

You out of Yazoo yet? Grin

Twunk · 08/07/2017 22:58

I've moved on acat

It's just weight loss coffee now.

Jonsey32 · 08/07/2017 22:58

Missdoings- the problem is when you try to talk to them about it they are already prepared with answers they've been fed.
That's what happened with my friend. I've known her 30 years since we were kids and In then lol if an eye I don't even recognise her anymore!

She more or less told me that she was about to start spamming in Facebook and to unfriend myself if I didn't like it.

Spongebobette · 08/07/2017 23:00

Oh no Twunk , magic coffee???
it's like Invasion of the body snatchers

That solid, eh? You lucky thing Grin

cozietoesie · 08/07/2017 23:20

That's a hurt, Jonsey.

Had you noticed that she had ..........vulnerabilities?

acatcalledjohn · 08/07/2017 23:43

She more or less told me that she was about to start spamming in Facebook and to unfriend myself if I didn't like it.

She sounds very conscious of what she is doing.

Jonsey32 · 08/07/2017 23:43

No! She was totally normal!!
We were meeting up a couple of weeks ago and a few hours before we were meeting she posted an emoji filled post about her new "business".
My heart sank and my blood ran cold so I spoke with her when she arrived and asked her what it was. "Beever hair care"
I very gently explained how I felt about mlm's and she already had down pat answers to everything.
E.g. Thiamine was different, it's uk based, she's in at the start, it's an amazing product because it doesn't contain blah blah blah. She's set herself up as a hair care specialist even though she's not.
The posts are incessant and she's a bit like a stepford wife.
She's goes on about her terrible , coarse hair until she started using this shit- even though she's always has beautiful hair.
It all for a bit awkward and I'm not sure she'll ever talk to me in the same way.

She told me I was over thinking things!

Jonsey32 · 08/07/2017 23:46

Apologies about all the typos. My phone is going mad! Hope it's all understandable!

Flipping heck, this thread was on page 2 when I left it last. Now I'm having a very late night after having to catch up.

Congratulations Fitgirl!

CommonSenseIsNotAllThatCommon · 09/07/2017 07:28

Beever hair care? Usually I just tuck in the stragglers and I'm good to go. Is their special mousse to make the curls extra bouncy?

kellogssquareofkrispierice · 09/07/2017 08:17

Trunk you should stick to good old fashioned McDonalds milkshakes. Delicious!

I've got a right set of slugs on my face, they've thinned out as I've gotten older but my poor childhood self had a full blown mobobrow (and an overbite). Beautiful.

Beever hair care????? OMG
