Can you balance transfer onto a CC in someone else's name?

Hi

Do 0% cards ever have an issue with this? or do they not care so long as you balance transfer to another credit card?

(I don't need advice about whether or not I should do this, just whether or not it's possible or if it can cause problems with the CC company, thanks)

The person whose CC the balance is going on has to request it but yes they can transfer a balance in someone else's name onto their card.

Great, thank you!

The balanace is on a lowish % but 0% cards are high % usually if you fall foul of them so don't wanna do it then end up with a higher % than it started off on because we've broken the rules IYKWIM, but would be paid off faster obviously if on 0% so that would be ideal

I do it all the time when a 0% deal runs out I transfer onto another 0% deal switching between cards in mine or my husband's name whoever has the best deal at the time. The only thing you can't do is switch between cards from the same company even if they are in different names. So me and DH have a Barclaycard and we can't transfer balances between them it has to go to a different company iyswim.

Yes but then you are liable for the debt
