Hello, really hope someone can help me get my head around what my maternity take home pay will be please!!
I am now in my 8th week of enhanced full mat pay, I have another 12 at the same rate before 19 weeks of SMP, after that I expect to do 6 weeks unpaid before taking my accrued holiday and then returning in May.
In my budgeting I had forgotten SMP is taxed though so I am a bit short with my savings pot. I have now remembered from my last mat leave that when I went on SMP I got some tax back in my payslips over the months and hoping the same will happen this time , but I need help working it out!!
My current pay is about 2500 a month before duductions for pension, childcare vouchers, student loan and union subs. So I will get that each month this tax year from April to most of Sept thenit's SMP and zero until about mid March. Will I get any refunds and how can I work out what I will get each month!!?? I am on the standard tax code.....
