ESA

Unsure if this is the area to post this so bear with!
My son has received ESA for three years now. I sent forms back on the 9th June and they were received by the ESA Office in Wolverhampton on June 12th at 1.39pm [ I sent it by signed for]. I had a letter this morning saying that as the forms were not received in time my son`s claim has been stopped and he has to look for work - despite having cerebral palsy and learning difficulties.
So when they say they have to be sent back by 13th June does that mean it has to be in front of a case worker or in the building which it was as it was signed for?
I have to wait until Monday now to find out. No doubt they will try to fob me off but it was delivered on time.
Does anyone have any advice how to proceed when I phone them on Monday?

It means they are twats and you were very sensible using recorded delivery.
It just needs to be there by the 13th and it was. Phone them tell them you have a screenshot of the receiving signature and would they like it emailed. Ask to speak to a manager.

Any problems on the phone go to your local mp clinic asap.

I have printed out the delivery record provided by Royal Mail! I was paranoid about sending them back and am so glad I paid the small extra for 'signed for'!
Thanks for your response!
