CSA Advice Needed

My Partner has 3 children and split from her husband 8 years ago. He doesnt have anything to do with his 3 children (his choice) even to the extent of no birthday/christmas cards or gifts didnt pay any child support until I started a relationship with the childs mum.

He is now £13000 in arrears and now pays £100 a month (sometimes)
The problem we have is that when they divorced he retained 12% owner ship of the house and if my girlfriend sells the property or I moved in then we have to buy him out. That means we have to give him around £25,000. We have offered (Through a solicitor) to knock off the £13000 csa arrears and pay him £12,000 but he has refused and told us he would accept £20,000 and wants the arrears wiped out . Hes self employed and earns a fortune in cash but according to csa he doesnt earn very much. He has a 5 bed detached house which has been put in his sisters name, a new mercedes, a motorbike, another vehicle he transports his dogs around in and a nearly new mercedes van.

We do have a suspicion that if we paid him off then he would move abroad and stop the csa payments and forget about the arrears

This has now been going on for a couple of years and we dont seem to be getting anywhere. Hes a real nasty little man and doesnt care about his children at all. The divorce ended up in court and he represented himself.

Can anybody suggest anything?
If we give him the £25000 would CSA get involved and recover the £13000 in CSA arrears?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If he means to move abroad then I would kids goodbye to any more payments. As you say he is a slippery Customer!

So although it would be unfair I would take his 20 000 offer.
