Arghhhhh my supposed to be mug bet at Coral only went and won so now there £40 in my account instead of at the exchange 😒😒😒

sherrifffatman · 07/05/2017 16:32

I've had problems with the Bingo sites using the Dragonfish/cassava software. This is about a 1/3 of the UK sites Confused
I was accused of abusing the system by signing up to more than one of their sites and claiming the bonus. I lost most of my money anyway but also used the free bingo games. I hadn't tried to withdraw and they sent me the offers in the first place!!
They are still sending them even though I'm blocked from all their sites.
In total I had accounts with 4, Cheeky bingo, foxy etc. I can't find anything in the t&cs about this but it seems they can just block you on a whim and keep your money.
Since googling I've found this is a common thing with them and they aren't registered with the Uk gambling people.
Just be cautious if you use these.

sunnyside
I'll have a look. I'm pretty football savvy.

MaidOfStars · 07/05/2017 17:00

Oh, maybe that offer is finished for the weekend.

I'll catch up with it next week and post my thoughts on which match to choose.

MaidOfStars · 07/05/2017 17:01

I've started withdrawing now. Perfectly normal after a winning bet. I leave a little float in the bookies, to show good will.

sunnysidesucks · 07/05/2017 17:07

I also don't have much lug with mug bets - they always seem to win! Did well on a horse today tho - waiting for the free bet from betfair for picking a winner :)

sunnysidesucks · 07/05/2017 17:07

*luck

sunnysidesucks · 07/05/2017 17:08

thanks Maid - yes that's it for the weekend. Roll on next weekend :)

SierraJensen · 07/05/2017 17:15

domestic the t&cs of the Betfred promo said it was OK to deposit via PayPal. It takes up to 48 hours for the free bet, how long has it been?

louisejxxx · 07/05/2017 17:44

Thank god Arsenal are winning (id bet on Man Utd) otherwise I'd have less than 20 quid at the exchange!

domesticgoddesshaha · 07/05/2017 18:11

sierra been 24 hours but pretty sure it says no free bet for pp deposits :(

domesticgoddesshaha · 07/05/2017 18:26

There are 2 offers, one clickthrough from google, which is valid with a pp deposit, one direct on their homepage where it isn't. I did the second. I might try livechat to see if they'll let me do a bank deposit and give me free bet.

domesticgoddesshaha · 07/05/2017 18:29

And really annoyingly, oddsmonkey links to one on their homepage, but it doesn't list pp as one of the excluded payment methods. Angry

SierraJensen · 07/05/2017 18:44

Oh no! I just did mine with PayPal but hadn't seen it was excluded and now I'm worried which offer I did. Pretty sure it was direct on their homepage. Oh well, nothing really lost at least but a shame not to profit!

FiveHoursSleep · 07/05/2017 18:59

I'm getting a bunch of 100% bonus reload offers from the casinos now. Are they worth doing?

OverthinkingSpartacus · 07/05/2017 19:11

@gin

Honestly, I was saying the same as you when I started, I'd spent a few weeks reading and reading and reading thinking there has to be a catch and that it's all some kind of scam.

In just over two weeks I've gone from asking a million questions to knowing the answers and being able to help others. From taking absolutely ages to find and place bets to doing it in minutes. From being confused by multiple tabs open, to knowing exactly which one to hit. Maths skills (something I was really really bad at) are improving quickly too. I'm confident I'd be able to do the matched betting without paying membership to I'm by finding own offers, bets and using online calculators to work out liabilities but the £15 a month comes out of my profit and saves lots of time, plus the daily Callander shows offers I may not know about.

If you are ever unsure just ask for help, either here or the forums on OM are friendly. There's no rush and no benefit to doing things quickly, take your time and the offers are not going anywhere so if you feel one sounds too complicated leave it until you do feel confident. It's not going anywhere and you can return whenever.

The profits are nice but I've gained something I have not had for a long time, confidence in myself. Hadn't realised just how much my anxiety had taken over the years until I got some of it back if that makes sense?

@ladasha I didn't have betfair account but didn't bother accepting their sports book offer as I'd have needed to create another account with another exchange to lay against betfair sportsbook backs which as a beginner I didn't feel confident doing (absolutely don't lay bets on the betfair exchange for events you've also backed on betfair sportsbook ) I didn't trust myself to not mess up and am planning to only use betfair for exchange for time being. I've read betfair are quick to gub the sportsbook element as lots of lays on exchange outs you as a matched bettor.

OM says most sites are happy with PayPal was just reading today as someone said they think they've missed out on loads of free bets as they signed up to all bookies trying to be efficient and deposited with PayPal , I'm almost certain I read betfred allows it, irrc correctly it can take up to 48 hours for free bets so worth checking back, there's only one or two free bets they hadn't been credited with iirc

I've not done any activity today, slightly annoying as I've missed some great offers and could have been at least 70 quid profit, I'm looking forward to having a full weekend day to do the offers, first weekend I wasn't confident I could focus and not fuck up with dd and dh around and telly in background, they both brilliant and wouldn't have tried distracting me etc, but dh works away and I'd feel a bit shit if I took myself off to another room for silence. Second weekend, I know I coukd have sat with laptop while we had DVD on or something and chit chatted and stuff without fucking up but this weekend has been chockablock.

OverthinkingSpartacus · 07/05/2017 19:17

@fivehourssleep

Some casino offers are worth it, some are not because of the high wagering, then there's some loopholes for a few offers that let you sneak out of wagering and keep winnings from bonus which makes it worth a shot. always read the full terms and conditions with every offer as sometimes some games don't count towards wagering, sometimes real money is used before bonus money etc etc

I dint know what profit accumulater is like for info on these but the guides and forum on OddsMonkey have discussions etc on most of the offers, they also have their EV calculater which you can type in info and it will tell you the offers expected value and if it's worth doing.

OverthinkingSpartacus · 07/05/2017 19:21

I'm binning quidco off too.
Have had query in for two bookies I used their site for, should have had about £50 cashback from them, but my query is still "waiting to be looked at" or silk at since 23rd April.

Tried topcashback yesterday and cashback was there immediately. (Not including money back from cashback sites on profit totals though.

SierraJensen · 07/05/2017 19:24

Found out the answer to BetFred - they changed t&cs on 5 May to exclude paypal - guessing I maybe had a cached file on my computer as had been looking at the offer the day before. Damn - they were a generous offer which I've now missed out on. I guess a new tip then is to check you are looking at the most recent page!

domesticgoddesshaha · 07/05/2017 19:41

Ah, that's pants I signed up on the 6th :(

neonrainbow · 07/05/2017 21:15

You can put in a claim with quidco to track your cashback.

SierraJensen · 07/05/2017 21:17

Yeah....I don't 'love a bit of betfred' anymore! Here's hoping the reload offers are generous.

Going to have to take a break from doing anything new as off on holiday in a few days time. When I get back I'm looking forward to trying BetVictor before the football season ends.

user1476474205 · 07/05/2017 21:22

Evening all, have been following this thread for a few weeks and wondering if someone more knowledgeable can help me out with a sign up offer I don't quite understand. Have been working my way through the sign ups on Odds Monkey but am now stumped...

Anyone done the Unibet Risk Free sign up offer? You deposit (and bet) £30, and if it loses they'll refund you with a £30 bonus bet. My bet lost, so now I have the free bet.

What I'm struggling to get my head around is where the profit is made here. The OM guide says to use the calculator in NORMAL mode... but if I do this, I seem to only make a loss?! Even on my bonus bet. I thought I had my head around the basics but perhaps not!

Would appreciate your wisdom please!

neonrainbow · 07/05/2017 21:28

I haven't had any reloads or special offers from betfred.

HeyRoly · 07/05/2017 21:28

I reckon that's an error. If it's a free bet, it needs to be in free bet (SNR) mode.

Maybe flag that up with them, I think you can notify them of errors at the bottom of the page?
