I'm feeling very pleased with myself today. I've been hovering at £90-something profit for a few days and today and yesterday I've had a few bets on and it has gone up to £104. So I feel like I have passed a massive milestone - my first hundred! In a week and a day as well.

I've withdrawn £50 out of my Betfair as I'm going to visit a mate and see Kings of Leon next month and that money is paying for the train tickets. I started with £50 in Betfair so as I see it that's my start cost back and any money I'm playing with now is pure profit.

(Ok, the money paid from my bank to various bookies is still showing as -£60 but when I tot up what is in the accounts at all my bookies, that makes it -£6. So nearly all covered.)

Only problem is that I have 2 bets pending with a big liability and I have £5 left at Betfair so I am hoping for my bookie bets to lose today!

And I tried my first in-play matched bet today (888 offer) and I won't lie, I found it tricky. First finding a match then checking and re-checking the changing odds. But I ended up with a 92p loss as a qualifying bet so not too bad.

Thanks HeyRoly! I didn't spot that. If the Qualifying and Free bets then wins at Betfair Sportsbook does the money go into your main pot with all your winnings from when you use it as an Exchange? Sorry for all the endless questions!

I have found today tricky too, purely because I've been out and about all day and trying to lay various legs of my betvictor free acca bet whilst on my mobile, in a soft play area, and with the odds changing constantly, is not nearly straight forward. I also nearly gave up on the free Coral in-play bet for the same reasons!

Maid Bit late to the party just catching up on this thread and noticed your posts on 08/05 about a horse mug that turned into an Arb..

I've moved from match betting to using betangel software which basically works on this principle but very very quickly. So I lay and back horses almost instantly but at better prices in order to "scalp" the profit from the difference. You can then click one button to turn the field green and spread your profit across all horses.

I'm playing with tiny stakes (£2 a pop so 20p every trade) while I find my feet but having great success with this method as well as a few ACCAs a week and doing the SkyBet Price Boosts (which is basically the same principle as above, I'm using quickly changing odds- in play- in order to scalp some profit).

When I started I was a bit worried as to the longevity of this but I've managed £320 profit so far this month by doing horses, Accas and Price Boosts, none of which rely on Reload offers to come through.

Another method of using horses is to put a horse in an acca/ double for a free bet and underlay the horse a bit.

If the horse loses you still get a decent amount out of the free bet, if it wins you can lay much more on the football second leg and be quids in either way.

Also much less likely to get gubbed using free bets on Accas than you would be on high odds + close match singles. Bookies love doubles and Accas.

I've just done my first ACCA. Im going to try the lay all method, I don't fancy the no lay just yet, and I've got too many young kids to be able to rely on having time to lay.
