As the last thread is almost full, here is a nice fresh clean one.

In a nutshell, matched betting is a clever way of making ££££ from the bookies without ever having to gamble.

This is profit accumulator

This is odds monkey

Have read. TAKE YOUR TIME!

And enjoy the money Grin

Can someone help me, I used 10 quid coral free bet at 3.7 on the a draw for man u man city and layed £7.40 at bet fair I seem to have won at both should only have had 7 quid is profit but made nearly 40?

sammassammas · 27/04/2017 22:04

Lay was at 3.7 odds also

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 27/04/2017 22:07

I seem to have won at both

Same here, same match, same result backed and layed Confused

sammassammas · 27/04/2017 22:11

Bet fair just updated correctly so no double win :-( still 7 quid up tho

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 27/04/2017 22:14

That explains it then Grin

imnottoofussed · 27/04/2017 22:14

You can't win at both unless you've backed and layed different things. If you back a draw and lay a draw you are saying at the bookies you think it will be a draw but at the exchange you don't think it will be a draw. Therefore can't win at both places. So you should have won at the bookies because it was a nil nil draw. And lost at the exchange because you said it wasn't going to be a draw. Unless nil nil isn't classed as a draw at the exchange.

imnottoofussed · 27/04/2017 22:15

Cross post Grin

HeyRoly · 27/04/2017 22:24

I think Betfair had a hiccup for a minute because I logged in and it said my lay bet lost. So I thought "Huh! Man City must have scored a last minute winner" and logged into Ladbrokes to see that my back bet lost too Hmm Checked score, 0-0, and had a small heart attack over how I could possibly have lost both bets - and it was my largest to date.

Anyway, logged back into Betfair and it had changed to "won" and updated my balance. But it DEFINITELY said "lost" initially.

louisejxxx · 27/04/2017 22:54

Same hiccup happened to me Roly and I started panicking a bit!! Refreshed and all was well but was worried for a minute.

Have I got this right that I don't need to deposit anything on sky bet, I just get my free £10 for signing up?

neonrainbow · 27/04/2017 23:16

Oh god I'm not sure im cut out for the stress of making a mistake! After panicking i managed to fix it. Stressful!

CalmItKermitt · 27/04/2017 23:20

I had the opposite thing - had 3 bets laid at Betfair, to start with they were all listed as "won" and I had loads of money in there, then they all changed to "lost" and my balance plummeted! Nearly fainted! But it all appeared in the relevant bookies so phew! 😅

TessTube · 27/04/2017 23:29

Yes that's right about sky.

I'm doing the annoying ones with Unibet and Bwin you have to keep rolling over and annoyingly I keep winning so having to place more bets.

OverthinkingSpartacus · 27/04/2017 23:35

@neeganswife

OM says 188 credit will show on your main account, they also say dint try to withdraw it or they'll remove the free £20. OM also says if your free bets ins it will look like the £20 stake has been returned but will vanish when you withdrawl.

HollySykes · 27/04/2017 23:49

I gave up on 188 because it was sooo slow

OverthinkingSpartacus · 27/04/2017 23:50

Had a go at the betfair £10 bonus for slots under promotions on the betfair website as it was only X1 wagering and made £10 profit on that then quit while I was ahead :)

No idea what I'm doing with slots and still don't understand them tbh there's no holding/nudging, you just spin. I've signed up to a couple of to no deposit free slots/spins offers today and am reading the tutorials on OM. I have £30 after using the free £5 on one of them but have to keep spinning to meet wagering reqs.

Boring as fuck tbh, but figured I'd give it a shot while I'm waiting for my Stan James, MobileBet and 188 free bets to credit.

MaidOfStars · 28/04/2017 07:07

Mug bet wins at two bookies last night, so not really mug bets Hmm

Coral sent me another casino offer - pay in £10, get £50 free. I went for it. I feel it might be a test Grin

I have switched to basic Blackjack. I had a look at a slot machine but they scare me.

Isn't it normal for casino newbies to play low-risk? That's how they get you.

Oh well, if my whole casino adventure is cancelled, I haven't lost anything. The £10 I used to buy in was winnings from a free casino £5.

HeyRoly · 28/04/2017 07:36

I finally backed and laid my 188 free bets last night. They may not give me the highest profits, but I'm just glad to get shot of them to be honest. Horrible website.

edengarden123 · 28/04/2017 09:13

So I'm making a good bit too. Again I'm in Ireland so I have currency fees but I've easily made 250 euro profit (taking out odds monkey fee etc.).

I'm finding it very difficult to take the next step from the easy opening offers .

I need to read this post thoroughly and some of the sites/blogs mentioned here.

KosmoKramer · 28/04/2017 09:31

Coral gave me five free spins...just won £61.40! Yippee!!!!

Hastily withdrew it as soon as the free spins were done. I can understand though why other people may have an urge to keep on playing...

neonrainbow · 28/04/2017 09:51

Im scared of the casinos. Im still at the stage of double and triple checking everything and haven't done any horse races yet! Need to wait for the football matches to be played tomorrow to get some more into my betfair account.

MaidOfStars · 28/04/2017 10:40

Just had a go on slots. £4 in, £45 win. Carried on playing though; immediately stopping (or dropping to low-risk games) after a big win is a massive flag.

HeyRoly · 28/04/2017 11:53

I've used my free slots offers and won absolutely bugger all. I've declared it a mug's game Grin

MrsOnTheMove · 28/04/2017 12:01

Can anyone explain..

I've just back my free bet with Coral using 'Oddsmatcher' I lay it with Betfair. Placed the £20 free bet with Coral had double checked all odds were same etc. when I went to lay with Betfair despite the odds being correct the amount for liability was considerably more (I had to add funds) I refreshed and checked all was correct and it seemed so but cost me £15 more to lay? Meanwhile I've entered it into the spreadsheet and it's showing the original liabilty amount Confused

TessTube · 28/04/2017 12:04

You have def. clicked the right box? It says against? And the odds are the same on the exchange and the spreadsheet?

DeleteOrDecay · 28/04/2017 12:10

Just done my £30 free betfred bet and lay. Hopefully I'll have done it correctly this time. Won't find out till this evening though.
