Hi,

Just a musing really - our staff are paid hourly, with a 39 hour week being their basic contract - anything worked above this is paid at OT rate.

If they were took one day annual leave, how would you work this out for a day?

I have my opinion on how to work this but I am scared I am incorrect.

Thanks in advance

39 x hourly rate
Divide by 5

That's their day rate, if holiday is unpaid that's what you would deduct

Yup - that's how I am currently working it - 7.8 hours/day.

The person before me would split it up so Mon-Thu is 8 hours a day and the Friday is 7 hours.

Just wanted to get an opinion really - thank you!
