have any of you bought lcd televisions and found later (2 years later in my case) that theres background ghosts from previous channels that you had been watching, and that theres black almost see through bands of lines going across the monitor or have you had any problems with your teles?

we paid 2,500 for ours and i didnt expect the quality of the images to deteriorate in such a short space of time

have taken up advice from consumers watchdog, but was wondering if anyone had any joy

bought tele from currys, they dont want to know because we didnt take a warranty out, but under the sales of goods act section 14, that shouldnt matter

We had ghosting, something to do with tuning, and also when using TV without sky, there was a blue tinge on the screen. We also bought from curry's, but it was only about 9mths old. They knew what the problem was (i think it was a Hitachi, it was on sale, and I think it was a common problem) and were waiting for a part. It took so long to get the part, and no one phoned us, so they gave us a full refund.
