interim payment

hi i've just got a quite large interim payment and i've just put in my basic bank account do i need to move it somewhere else that will earn me interest??

There aren't many options for earning interest these days. We opened a Santander 123 current account which pays 1.5% on up to £20k. I think some supermarket accounts may pay up to 3% on smaller balances.
