How to make a fair will?

I have two adults sons from a previous marriage. They both live independently. I live with DH and our 8 year old DS. DH and I jointly own our house (mortgaged) and have life insurance that should pay off the mortgage if either of us die before we've paid it off, plus a lump sum to the survivor. Obviously, if I were to go first, I would want DH and youngest DS to have the house and be as secure as possible, financially. Both DH and I are self-employed, we don't have any savings, only debt that we can manage (at the moment). We have smallish pension pots from when we were employees, but neither of us are paying into pensions atm - we are prioritizing paying down debt. I feel that I would like to leave something to my older sons. I worry that they'll end up with nothing if I die before DH, as I would expect DH to leave the house to our DS when he goes. Any suggestions as to how I could make provision for my adult DCs in my will? I don't have a will atm.

Could you take out a policy that would pay out the equivalent of half a house each for each son?

Thanks Oohh, that does sound like a possibility I suppose - except that I'm trying to pay down debt....
Anyone know of any suitable such policies?

Contact the brilliant mumblechum of Marlows wills- mnetter who is very good!

I will second asking Marlow Wills for advice - she was brilliant with me and the cost was very reasonable. You feel so much better when it's all sorted out.

My will was pretty straightforward but I can agree with comments about Mumblechum1 - she was so thorough, friendly and professional. A pleasure to deal with her.

Sounds like Mumblechum1/Marlows it is then. Thanks all Smile
