Anyone work in a bank- cheque help

Just a quick question- I want to pay in a cheque into a family member's account. The cheque is from a relative made payable to the family member, I have the pay in sort code and account number, does that family member have to sign the back of the cheque?

As long as it's going into their account then no.

No, you can pay into an account with just the sort code and account number.

Nope anyone can pay in as long as you have the sortcode and account number.
