Court claim. They say they can't withdraw it, are they right?

Hi, long story short a company did damage when on my property doing other work. They didn't put it right so I held back some payment. They decided to take me to court rather than put it right, but after I entered a counter claim they have agreed to withdraw their claim... except they say they can't because of my counterclaim and I have to withdraw mine. Are they right? I feel like they are trying to get me to withdraw my claim so that theirs will stand.

Doesn't sound like I'd trust them! Can you get a free half hour advice at solicitors?

You should maybe ask HQ to punt this over to Legal. I'm sure someone there will be able to help.
