Accidentally paid wrong person on PayPal - can I get my money back?

I'm such a tit - was riding and put Co.uk instead of.com in the email address.

Can I get my money back?

I've emailed the accidental recipient but will be relying on goodwill for them to return it. I paid under goods/Services so have buyer protection but don't think this covers 'buyer inputting wrong details'.

Does anyone know if my money is lost forever?

Ring PayPal. You may not have paid anyone at all if that email doesn't have an account attached to it. PayPal customer services are very good.

cant you just cancel the payment? or has the money been claimed?

No option to cancel the payment. However the accidental recipient has just refunded me. Phew.
