Late tax return

Has anyone been late filing a tax return? If so how heavy handed are HMRC. Tia

They will charge you £100 late filing penalty, then £10 per day on top of this, so you need to get it filed ASAP

They will also charge interest on any tax due

but if you file late and owe not tax, have a go at overturning any penalties on the basis of "disproportionate"
