recruitment agencies for men

My brother is 40, hasn't really ever worked in the UK, are there any agencies he can join,he is willing to do any sort of work, in an office, sorting mail for Royal Mail, at a box office, etc. Most of the temp agencies seem to cater for women ,and he thinks they would laugh at a 40 year old guy with a beard.

Depending how flexible he is noone will laugh at him - I am on mat leave now but I work for an agency and we get chaps like him out temping etc all the time - tell him to go an see one or 2 - whats the worst they are going to do?? OR speak to REC Recruitment and Employment Confederation - they monitor and control all agencies worth their salt - they will be able to advise him of some agencies he can register with - tell him not to worry - unless he wants to be a lion tamer noone will laugh - I got an ex monk out temping once!!
