How deep are your pockets of time Sponge? Grin If you've got holes in your pocket (dear Sponge) there's a danger you might fall down one of them and turn up in the past. You might find yourself at the same choir practice twice.

CheekySmile · 23/06/2016 07:38

I'll join the choir, but only if I can play the triangle. Sorry, not triangle, reverse funnel...

LunaLoveg00d · 23/06/2016 08:06

I have an American FB friend who has recently fallen in with this crowd www.perfectlyposh.com/p/ - yet another MLM.

So explain the Utah thing. I know that many MLMs are headed up by Mormons, and their HQ is in Salt Lake City. So is that all there is to it, that one MLM spawns another and so on, or is it that Utah legislation is in some way more favourable to setting up this sort of "business"?

Toobusytowee · 23/06/2016 08:16

I just had a brief look at Perfectly Posh. You can join if you are 16 or over!!

cozietoesie · 23/06/2016 08:56

I thought you couldn't enter into a valid contract in the US until you were 18?

Toobusytowee · 23/06/2016 11:19

You have to have a parent countersign it.

MyCatsHateMLMtoo · 23/06/2016 11:20

Luna, looking through the terms and conditions, Point 11 states that 'minors' under 18 must enrol with a parent (joint members) and they will be liable. A new contract must be signed once child reaches 18.

Point 16 goes into exhaustive detail about rights and responsibilities should there be a dispute or court case.

Points 19, 20 and 21 refer to individual states policies. Interesting.

All in all, should any prospective rep actually read through these t and c's, they might think twice. Unfortunately, most won't until problems arise Sad.

MyCatsHateMLMtoo · 23/06/2016 11:21

Crossed poststobusy Grin.

cozietoesie · 23/06/2016 11:22

Now if I had been cynical - which of course I'm not Smile - I would have wondered about the parent's role in the whole thing. All is now clearer.

Toobusytowee · 23/06/2016 17:05

I thought the same as you Mycats, loads and loads of the contract is taken up with dispute resolution!

ForeverYazoonique · 23/06/2016 17:09

I admit I'm terrible at reading Ts and Cs and contracts. I mean, I can do it, but I don't.

I am fascinated to know what is going on with forever living. I get the feeling it isn't going to be the force it once was. Well it's a hope anyway.

LTW also seems to be collapsing which is hardly a surprise - quite clearly overambitious (I'm being careful charitable).

What MLMs are discovering is that social media is something of a double-edged sword - a cheap way to market and excellent for publicity, but also a very good means to spread the word about scams and pyramid schemes.

Foreverfibbing · 23/06/2016 17:25

I see a lot of the LTW victims are now jumping onto #QNT. Is this yet another MLM?

Re FL - lots of higher up bots have been at the HQs recently having important "business" meetings (and laughter with besties of course). Damage limitation, anyone?

ForeverYazoonique · 23/06/2016 18:05

Ah yes of course they're all besties in public

BSintolerant · 23/06/2016 18:12

The top bots must be wondering how to keep the cult going, Forever Fibbing.

Cheeky, the MLM Resistance Choir needs all the noise it can get: bang that triangle, blow that reverse funnel, but make sure you don't put any aloe heat gel on the pink oboe* or your embouchure will never be the same again.

*pink oboes are sponsored by LTW, who like pink things such as skips, suits, and strawberry flavoured Yazoo.

Spongebobette · 23/06/2016 18:14

What's a personalised 'mindset blueprint', please?

BSintolerant · 23/06/2016 18:28

Sponge, it sounds like a sinister document which has a space at the top where you can personalise it by writing your name in blood. If you're squeamish, Yazoo will suffice.

ForeverYazoonique · 23/06/2016 18:32

I can sort of sing. But what I would really like to do is blow my own trumpet. Fuck it, I'll blow anyone's trumpet Grin

I can play the recorder. Badly. And I can't really read music.

Delurker2016 · 23/06/2016 19:35

A mindset blueprint is where it will be tailored totally to you. He will say your name repeatedly and it will be about your goals and where you want to be in your business. You listen to it everyday and it will change your mindset.

Delurker2016 · 23/06/2016 19:39

QNT is going under the guise of being a training for network marketers but it would appear it's a clever way of poaching people to their new business, which no one has any idea what it is but they are all business builders already. I honestly can't make head nor tail of it although a quick search of FB shows pages called QNT Shop While you earn. They're ex-LTW people. It's been a bit car crash viewing of late.

Spongebobette · 23/06/2016 19:43

delurker
Well pretty sure it wouldn't work on cynical old me. Cynics unite!

DollyTwat · 23/06/2016 20:32

The LTW pages are full of unhappy people who have no up lines cos they've left, or who haven't earnt anything

The promise of just do your shopping doesn't work for this pyramid, because people have to recruit and shop to get paid and those people have to recruit and spend

Toobusytowee · 23/06/2016 20:39

My understanding of QNT is that it was formed when they were in LTW. It was a team of LTW bots. Then it went wrong for them all, they weren't getting their shopping, stuff was arriving smashed up, you know what it's like. So they resigned.

They have stayed in their team and are fighting LTW. They are trying to build themselves up and offer training to support people in MLM. Presumably they will all be joining another MLM sooner or later. Their websites and logos still mention shopping but that is just their old stuff that hasn't updated yet.

They think that people don't do well in MLMs because of a lack of support. They are yet to realise it is the system that is at fault, not their way of working, mindset, support, products, whatever. I really hope some of them see the light soon.

Bovneydazzlers · 23/06/2016 21:42

All the QNT stuff makes me sad, all the people joining this shows how unethical all their old companies were and how much it affected them all (attached QNT posting just showing the past problems).

Is it linked to THWGlobal somehow? Their team page looks a whole world of confusion from everyone involved.
