Still going strong here at bot watch HQ on MN!

Previous thread here

Botwatch on Wordpress and on Facebook

Timeless Vie on Wordpress and on Facebook

Eyespeying's Blog aka #manhun, even if he's been banned by MNHQ

Hommetepreneur on Facebook

NEW Link to the Daily Mail article of 20 May 2016 regarding an ex-bot's treatment at the hands of her 'spline' at Forever Living UK

NEW Link to NastashaBarnbotShingles' refutation of the above.

We have our own regularly returning bots to tell us how bullying and hateful we are.

Glossary:

Bots: our affectionate name for victims of the MLM racket

MLM: Multi-level Marketing schemes - essentially pyramid schemes that are just legal because you sell a product. Reliant upon constant recruitment despite there not being enough people in the world to go beyond about 12 levels if everyone recruited 6.

Downline/Upline: the people you recruited and those who recruited you (going up and down the pyramid inverted funnel)

Timeless Vie: Parody of MLM schemes (though you might spot one in particular) that also carries out fearless investigative work

Hommetrepreneur: also excellent parody site focussing on the menz

BotWatch: Rather more serious, keeps an eye on what the Bots are claiming next, particularly in reference to health and income claims. Also fearless.

Inverted Funnel: Timeless Vie is NOT a pyramid - it's an inverted Funnel, OK?

Eyes: Our former member Eyespying who knows LOTS about MLM schemes. He's still our very own #manhun.

Twunk (AKA ForeverYazoonique) has a bottle of Banana Yazoo in her fridge. She's still too afraid to drink it. Yahoo is important as seems to be the primary retail product for Life Tree World.

It's worth bearing in mind that the real work starts at manager level. Bots take out 2nd mortgages, loans, borrow from friends and family...they need to pay the bills plus spend out on card, holidays spa days etc to maintain image for FB etc. Costs a lot plus boosting own ccs. I would guess they don't have any savings!

gottaloveascamhun · 05/06/2016 17:12

Cars not card

From today's Forever Living Success day
Totally tragic!!!!!
Worshipping at its best!
Utterly ridiculous Grin

kamchatka23 · 05/06/2016 17:52

Was that the Bath and West? Sadly, I know one of those Ariix bots as I'm local to that area and I did see her photos on Facebook. They were selling 'samples' of the MOA drink for £1!

Tupperwarelid · 05/06/2016 18:53

What makes me sad are the photos of recognition and the bots saying "this will be me next month/September/year"etc. Someone needs to tell them they probably won't be up there, ever.....

Ladiva1971 · 05/06/2016 19:11

Haha Tupperwarelid my Bot does exactly the same thing, and oddly enough she managed to get a 2016 plate car about 4 days ago, but it was her boyfriend that posted it on his FB timeline and she did not post it on hers and I thought that was a bit weird..

stopfaffing · 05/06/2016 19:12

Seen it's all a bit cringey isn't it? Hmm

I noticed lots of empty seats too. This Adam May character, I wonder what the real story is? What strings have been pulled, what deceptions created.

All is never what it appears with these companies, they can never tell the truth, they must use smoke and mirrors, imply things, use emotive language to press hot buttons, it's all sickening, actually Sad.

prettyusefulsometimes · 05/06/2016 19:44

kamchatka What?!? One of the reasons for attending the Bath and West is to see how much free stuff you can nab! Then again Moa is £25 a bottle and i doubt Ariix does freebies even for the highly valued bots Grin Thank goodness I kept to the stock lines and cider stands.

These FL success days - is there a regular pattern to their occurance and could it coincide with the hypnotising, sorry, training wearing off?

darceybussell · 05/06/2016 19:44

Seen - he's the guy who persuaded eyespying's whistle blower to borrow £350k and spend it on aloe vera gel! He's a bloody genius! If I tried to persuade someone to spend £350k on plant juice if be laughed out of the room! But he did it! What an inspiration!

kamchatka23 · 05/06/2016 20:24

You can 'feel' the quality though!

EauDeParslaii · 05/06/2016 20:54

Pffff I guarantee the majority of bots have no idea what 'promotes cellular function' actually means Hmm
And Snoogy, a bot I know from a few years back always said that at the time they put all the flash purchases on their credit card, and not to worry because "I'll soon be earning so I can pay the bills off".
If that sort of behaviour is how bots suck people in that's pretty low - getting lots of credit cards etc can be v dangerous :( x

EauDeParslaii · 05/06/2016 20:54

*that sort of behaviour as in
"Oh you can't afford the start up fee? That's fine put it on a credit card" type behaviour...

Moomoomonkey · 05/06/2016 22:44

I had a new juice plus rep add me. Daughter of a friend. Before she had a chance to send me any messages about joining/buying indent her the timeless vie and bot watch link, plus a couple of others! I've now been removed as a friend... Grin

cozietoesie · 05/06/2016 23:11

In your experience, Eau, does no-one actually query where all these $$$$ are actually coming from and going to?

EauDeParslaii · 05/06/2016 23:55

Cozie interestingly I noticed it never really got mentioned in the private groups I've been in, I think any sorts of queries like that were quickly dealt with over PM - I have seen before files in groups like "prospect can't afford their starter kit? 20 ideas to help" with stuff like telling them to eBay unwanted clothes and the like.
Because of course if you want the bizness enough you must sell your old clothes/get yourself into credit card debt to do it Shock
It always makes me despair though when you get the bot friends who post the #laptoplifestyle posts then forget about the post rules and start moaning about how skint they are/asking for "what's the best xyz, not too expensive though!"
It's all in the belief that you will earn the money back, but of course once you get started you realise it's easier said than done! X

stopfaffing · 06/06/2016 06:56

Here is a new company, Phoenix Power Rising, that seems to operate a bit like an MLM but there are no products as such. I saw it on fb.

I had a look at their Earnings Disclaimer. You can't say that they didn't tell you that you won't make any money Grin. They seem to cover all bases.

This is sensible advice: "You should check with your accountant, lawyer, or professional advisor, before acting on this or any information." How many will, though? They will just see the ££££signs in front of their eyes and go ahead anyway Hmm.

I particularly like this bit, about the glowing testimonials: "Testimonials and examples on this website about Phoenix Power Rising are exceptional results, do not reflect the typical Associate's experience, don't apply to the average person and are not intended to represent or guarantee that anyone will achieve the same or similar results." I think that means "we just made them up when sitting in a bar one evening" Grin.

stopfaffing · 06/06/2016 06:57

^Eau* do you have a screenshot of that "20 ways" posting? It would be interesting to see what is advised.

cozietoesie · 06/06/2016 07:15

Goodness. How many people actually have an 'accountant, lawyer, professional adviser'? (I have all of them but I doubt I'm representative.) Besides which, they actually cost money.

cozietoesie · 06/06/2016 11:25

Thanks for that, Eau. Smile

EauDeParslaii · 06/06/2016 13:27

Hey sorry! I'm now on lunch from the J.O.B ;)
Unfortunately I'm no longer in the groups with those files so cannot provide screenshots but I have found a site for a random MLM which is kind of the essence of what was being said - www.debsjewelryshop.com/how-to-afford-a-starter-kit/
Smile

lauryloo · 06/06/2016 15:56

Is actiderm an mlm? I have one friend who has recruited 4 mutual friends and my timeline is full off it. Thankfully not trying to recruit me, but all trying to sell me make up

rayofhope · 06/06/2016 17:33
