We have our own regularly returning bots.

Glossary:

Bots: our affectionate name for victims of the MLM racket

MLM: Multi-level Marketing schemes - essentially pyramid schemes that are just legal because you sell a product. Reliant upon constant recruitment despite there not being enough people in the world to go beyond about 12 levels if everyone recruited 6.

Downline/Upline: the people you recruited and those who recruited you (going up and down the pyramid inverted funnel)

Timeless Vie: Parody of MLM schemes (though you might spot one in particular) that also carries out fearless investigative work

Hommetrepreneur: also excellent parody site focussing on the menz

BotWatch: Rather more serious, keeps an eye on what the Bots are claiming next, particularly in reference to health and income claims. Also fearless.

Inverted Funnel: Timeless Vie is NOT a pyramid - it's an inverted Funnel, OK?

Eyes: Our former member Eyespying who knows LOTS about MLM schemes. He's still our very own #manhun.

It's a bit hard to follow but there sure are some unhappy ex-FLP bots out there.

It is like the biggest can of worms just opened! The fallout is astonishing!! The Only downside is that I think they will all just jump ship to another mlm! So sad really, as history will just repeat itself for them all, they cannot fight the maths! you cant help everybody though unfortunately . I really hope they will see sense and not keep beating the same path though 😔

People just masquerade as friends in there most at the top are just greedy people who will do whatever it takes to 'succeed '

I still see friends stuck in there now totally brainwashed and it's horrible!

I'm the exact same. I too have had things said about me in a public forum. Blocked, deleted, messaged, posted about.
People I had helped blocking me with no warning. Sharing posts about me into other groups.
I think some of them have just had enough and decided to stand together, which I don't blame them. The irony of some people now claiming they are being bullied has really infuriated me, I think it's a cheek when some of us have actually been really badly bullied, and they are well aware of it and allowed it to continue. Ok to turn a blind eye but not ok when people speak up. The hypocrisy is just too much to swallow to be honest.

Its ok Delurker, those of us on the outside looking in can see that BS for what it is, its just yet more spin. They are ruthless, but it is showing and the mask is slipping, Just wait until some of those admirers on the page are on the receiving end, the light bulb will go on, and they will be here with us telling their stories too!

Both you and seen the light, should be applauded for being brave, walking away and seeing the scam for what it is. Well done, and I hope we start to see more like you arriving here!

Apologies for my crappy grammar and punctuation, its late! Lol 😂

I don't feel very brave, I feel like a coward for not having the confidence to be myself on here. But the backlash I would get just is not worth it, and that in itself shows what nasty people they really are, people too scared to be themselves.

For the bots reading this, I hope you never have done to you what was done to me, because if you do, you won't be smiling anymore, you'll be trying to keep your head up as everyone suddenly has an opinion on you and doesn't care where they say it. You'll be trying to find those forever friends you used to have and you'll be trying to find your sanity.

I know that some of the bots who read this thread are all guilty of it, of posting about people, being derogatory towards them, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

No Delurker, you must never do anything here that would compromise your wellbeing. That does not mean you are not brave, far from it! But you must do whatever feels right to protect yourself. Trust me there are many many more people out there, reading this and wishing they had the strength to tell their stories and walk away too, and you being here will help them to do just that, In my eyes, that makes you brave.

This will polarise people - those very much "in" will stay in. But this is all immensely unedifying.

I can understand it though - lots of people have been working damn hard only to see their uplines - those that they have witnessed manipulating their downlines, now walking away with $150,000+ cheques. Unlike other countries where this might be seen as "inspiring" the UK is much more concerned about fairness and people playing by the rules. They haven't been playing by FL's own rules.

FL has seen massive growth the last 2-3 years and we have seen a lot of that has been built on an "unfair" advantage over other countries wrt the accumulation off CCs. Those days are now over.

What worries me is those bitten by FL are going for other MLMs because they think that they will get in early and end up on the top of that pyramid.

You probably still won't
You will have to employ the tactics you currently despise
It's still a bollocks business model where the house always wins
You will still be taking the money and time of others fraudulently in your quest to make a fast buck

It's truly disgusting what we have seen.

These threads were really based on a joke to start with - oh god look how they've turned into bots!

But to see the level of bullying and corruption is just...well eye-opening.

We had no idea it was this bad.

I think without this thread I would have gone quietly mad, so for that I thank you all. To be able to say my side without fear has been so helpful. People should be exposed, if it's ok to post mine and many others names everywhere with total disregard then the same rules apply. How ironic that they then call censorship on people!

The Fear.

The bonus buying shocked me a bit at first, but it's all a big pyramid shaped house of cards isn't it? If a couple of cards at the bottom are removed, the whole thing is likely to come tumbling down around you. You need to put your own cards lower down to keep your one at the top there.

(Sorry, probably not the most well explained analogy, but I'm only on my first coffee!)

Timeless Vie post very powerful. I can imagine a lot of bots would be terrified of coming forward to say anything having seen what happens to others.

That's why these threads and TImelessVie are so important to give those people a voice.

Those ex MLM adherents who have posted on here may not feel brave but they are indeed. Much respect to you all.

And all this retail price-cutting so there's no profit for the FBOs but it all goes towards bonus cheques - well who still gets their money? Who ALWAYS gets 52% of the "retail price?"

And who gets the bonus? Person sitting at the top of her huge pyramid. Not her team, just her. (Or him and her).

I don' t think you can get seriously rich in an mlm without totally screwing everyone else over. The thing that sticks in my throat the most is how they are actually revered like religious figures. I live in an inner city area where the church pastors drive BMWs and live off the 'tithes' of their church members. Why are they being revered for living off other peoples hard work? Why can't anyone see it? This isn't much different. They are parasites.

Smiinky, I think that's exactly why I am so passionate in my revulsion of the MLM business model. In what other job is it necessary for you to gain financial success at other's expense? And that if you are successful in your MLM, you will be the tiny minority. How can you live with that?

Stopfaffing- also, in what other job do you think "I'm not earning enough money, I'm spending far too much time at work, I hate my job, I'm doing things I'm not comfortable with, I know, I'll pay money to go and be told to try harder!"

Well done TV on another great article showing the realities that many in MLMs face. I'm hoping it will resonate with some people out there. The real world is nowhere as mean and nasty as it is in an MLM.

I have an idea. Remember Lurker Friday when lurkers came out of the woodwork and told us their stories? That was great. It helped us all realise just how many people were watching these threads.

I've got an idea for Monday. We can call it Awareness Monday (or something more catchy?) where everyone posts one link for either TV, Bot Watch, this thread, other relevant page. These links could be put on Facebook, Twitter, another forum, telling a friend, anything really. I bet we could spread the word quite well and it won't take too much time to do it. There must be hundreds of us reading this. Spread the chat, save more people.
