I can only repeat my question. If people are receiving, monthly, a sum of money plus 'freebies', where is that money coming from? Who is actually paying for it?

chuckingstones · 01/05/2016 23:26

And truly - if you are giving people the truth and facts, then send them here, send them to Timeless Vie, tell them to mention that you sent them here. We'll lay the facts out in front of them and if they still want to join, so be it.

cozietoesie · 01/05/2016 23:26

So it is, throwing. Smile

LifeTreeWorld · 01/05/2016 23:28

I really don't understand how else to explain it Cozie.

You just as well ask - 'but how are Tesco paying it's staff? Yes, people spend money at Tesco but HOW does it pay it's staff?

It's the same as any company. Profits are generated from the products they sell. A share of the products is devoted to staff (Tesco) or members (LTW). Which pays them.

The difference is, with LTW the 'staff' and the purchasers are the same person.

I used to laugh when I saw people queuing to play 'Find The Lady' in Oxford Street, backaways. I should have cried instead.

LifeTreeWorld · 01/05/2016 23:32

I'm not a fan of Timeless Vie tbh. The tone is a bit...cringe worthy...IMHO. More !!! and bold and [drumroll] type posts than plenty of MLM adverts I've seen! The point, which may otherwise be good, kind of gets lost in it.

cozietoesie · 01/05/2016 23:33

They knew their punters and that was something I didn't recognise at the time.

Heard of parody ltw ???

Twunk · 01/05/2016 23:35

Tiimeless Vie is a parody LTW, hence all the over excitement

LifeTreeWorld · 01/05/2016 23:36

Of course throwing. And I appreciate it when it's done well.

throwingpebbles · 01/05/2016 23:36

throwingpebbles · 01/05/2016 23:37

Aww crap, someone suggestible enough to join ltw doesn't like Timeless Vie

LifeTreeWorld · 01/05/2016 23:38

Very applicable to Avon throwing. Doesn't apply to LTW though because the people you introduce are never your competitors.

cozietoesie · 01/05/2016 23:40

I can only hope that people for whom things go pear-shaped realise that they can come to MN and no-one is going to laugh at them or call them 'stupid'. People here realise just how plausible some schemes might seem and how people can be sucked into them.

throwingpebbles · 01/05/2016 23:41

I think u have missed the fact that you are going to be competing for new downlines ...(especially as the original ones drop out when they have cupboards heaving with yazoo and pot noodles)

MrGrumpy01 · 01/05/2016 23:41

My 'Avon Lady' has never tried to recruit me.

that has been left to the random manager sending me texts and fb msgs (not due to my Avon lady I hasten to add.

Avon is a funny old oneone, not sure where it quite fits on the scale.

cozietoesie · 01/05/2016 23:42

It's sometimes a case of 'shooting the messenger', throwing.

throwingpebbles · 01/05/2016 23:42

I totally agree with that cozie-'with the normal MLMs they are very sophisticated and convincing. Terrifyingly so. I could easily see myself having got sucked in. ltw though seems so patently scammy...

LifeTreeWorld · 01/05/2016 23:44

Cozietoes - unfortunately not all posters here are particularly...pleasant.

Whilst I intend to update because I know some people have asked for it, some of the most recent posts are getting more (subtly) venom filled. It's why I stepped away from the thread last time, which is a shame - and I have a fairly thick skin, many don't.

If this thread is supposed to be a supportive place to welcome ex MLMers for whom it's gone wrong, a few posters are somewhat missing the mark with their general tone IMO.

cozietoesie · 01/05/2016 23:44

People have been sucked into schemes which turned out to be......not so reliable.......for thousands of years. As with the Find The Lady, they know their punters. Sadly.

LifeTreeWorld · 01/05/2016 23:46

I think u have missed the fact that you are going to be competing for new downlines

That's not how it works. Anyone in 'their' downline will also be in mine.

MrGrumpy01 · 01/05/2016 23:46

Is the 21 people, people a person has directly added or includes people under their initial 6?..

LifeTreeWorld · 01/05/2016 23:49

You only every introduce 3 directly under you.

For £200 bonus (total of 6) each of your three need to have one under them.
