Tojoin of it's something you want to do while kids are in bed and hubby is working then MLM isn't for you.
What will you do with the kids when you have to attend trainings, host launches, pamper evenings etc?
It isn't a case of posting on FB and having people buy from you I promise and people can buy eyebrow and contour kits for likely half the price in the shops. It really will take over your life and cost you money. Please read the small print before you sign. In FLP you have to retail approx £500 wholesale or recruit two people a month before they pay you a team leading bonus. What does the small print for tropic say?

Tojoinornottojoin · 01/05/2016 13:57

So if I join Tropic I become a bot on here. Does that mean that I would not be allowed to join in the discussion anymore ?

RaeSkywalker · 01/05/2016 14:00

Tojoin Alan Sugar has invested in Tropic. That's why he's 'endorsing' it- he wants to make money off you. He's not telling people it's great out of the goodness of his heart- he has an ulterior motive.

I wouldn't choose Virgin broadband because Richard Branson told me it's good (disclaimer: I am not trying to say that Virgin is an MLM!) Of course Sugar is saying positive things about Tropic: he's got a financial incentive to do so, and is using his public profile to generate interest in the business.

Tojoinornottojoin · 01/05/2016 14:01

Thank you for your concern, I'm fully aware of what would be expected of me the thing is I'm going into it with my eyes open and will do as much or as little as I want - at the end of the day it will be more of a hobby than a business somewhere to make new friends and meet new people I have no intention of letting it interfere with my day to day life. I have a lap top and can do the training from my setee
.

cozietoesie · 01/05/2016 14:02

Tojoin

You're always welcome on here - as is anybody. Smile

Go read the article and the links and then decide for yourself now.

Tojoinornottojoin · 01/05/2016 14:04

Isn't every one out to make money out of someone ? I thought that's what made the world go round. I can't see this issue as long as you are fully aware of what you are getting into then there's no harm done. You get what you pay for and a little bit of commission on top, and if you can help someone else do the same even better.

Tojoinornottojoin · 01/05/2016 14:06

Thank you for making me feel welcome, I was a little bit concerned as a few pages back someone else seemed to be getting quite a slating, with bad language and insults flying around. Just would want anyone to turn the tables on me.

cozietoesie · 01/05/2016 14:07

Then you must make your decision. We'll likely be here to talk to afterwards - if you want to. Smile

Tojoinornottojoin · 01/05/2016 14:07

*wouldn't

Tojoinornottojoin · 01/05/2016 14:09

When you say afterwards, do you mean when I've joined or decided I've been led astray and taken advantage of ? Just putting the feelers out for the type of support you offer on here. I've quite enjoyed spending my morning reading this thread and would hate for it to go sour.

Twunk · 01/05/2016 14:09

Everyone is welcome on here. Even chimps is entertaining in a terrifying car crash kind of way

cozietoesie · 01/05/2016 14:10

Just talk. Smile

At any time - if there are people around of course.

Nolongerconfused · 01/05/2016 14:11

You are making it sound so innocent. It's not. A lot of people in MLM are vultures and they won't accept you just using your laptop and working from your sofa. They will pretend to for a while until they are going for a promotion and then you will be pushed and bullied into recruiting and meeting targets. Did you read the small print? How much commission will you make? What are the other expenses to get started? How much do you have to sell each month?

BSintolerant · 01/05/2016 14:11

To bot, or not to bot. That is the question.

Twunk · 01/05/2016 14:19

tojoin you make whatever decision you think is right.

Our advice is the same for all MLMs - DON'T

Though I did rofl at this on their website

Twunk · 01/05/2016 14:21

Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous bot-dom

Tojoinornottojoin · 01/05/2016 14:22

And why wouldn't it be innocent ? I'm going to buy the start up box sell a few products to people I know, if they ask questions about the business I'll give them the details. No one has approached me I just wanted something to fill time at night whilst my other half is at work - I can't see any issues in it. I really thought that this page was a 2 sided debate on the pros and cons of joining the likes of Tropic, FL or any of the other companies mentioned but all I'm getting at the moment is negativity about them and no encouragement. Surely it's down to your own personal choice - I just thought I'd get both sides of the argument from here.

Tojoinornottojoin · 01/05/2016 14:24

Who's or what is Chimps ?

Twunk · 01/05/2016 14:25

No it's not a 2 sided debate Tojoin

There is no other side.

There is plenty of propaganda out there telling you why you should join.

We are the antidote to MLMs. We are the MLM resistance.

They are not something anyone with any sense would be part of.

Twunk · 01/05/2016 14:27

Chimps is a pro-MLM poster who has previously graced us with her presence.

BSintolerant · 01/05/2016 14:29

twunk Grin

Out! Damned bot! Out, I say.

throwingpebbles · 01/05/2016 14:30

tojoin you might want to read this article www.lazymanandmoney.com/is-every-mlm-a-scam/

(Just for starters)

RaeSkywalker · 01/05/2016 14:31

Tojoin to get the '2 sides' you could read the link above and make your own decision based on the information you have.

Nolongerconfused · 01/05/2016 14:33

If you have read the thread you will know why it's not innocent.

Tojoinornottojoin · 01/05/2016 14:33

So effectively you are right and anyone else who believes these companies can offer an income/alternative way of life are wrong and have no place on this discussion ?
