Maternity pay. Am I correct?

I am getting confused about what maternity pay I am entitled ro when I go off on maternity leave. I only work 21 hours a week and on 6.75 ph. Now when I calculated MP, I will only receive 90% of my earnings so that's about 550 a month.. And i think I will only get paid for a certain amount of time then get the normal.maternity allowance for 33 weeks. So how much will my allowance be

www.gov.uk/maternity-pay-leave/pay

139.58 or 90% of salary per week for 33 weeks, whichever is lower.

First 6 weeks is 90% of salary.

So you will probably be entitled to 122.50 per week based on 21 x 6.50

SMP is about £135 per week but you need to meet the minimum earnings threshold.

What I mean is 39 weeks of 122.50 x

Tryagain92 · 25/04/2016 17:11

What will i get after 6 weeks?

Make sure you check hmrc website to see what other benefits etc you may be entitled to x

Your first 6 weeks and next 33 weeks will all be at the same rate due to your earnings. For people working longer hours, there can be a drop between the two numbers.
