It is a LOT of effort, and the fast majority of cheques are in the $3k to $10k category.

CheekySmile · 24/04/2016 12:27

But to qualify to be eligible for the chairman's bonus you need to have a certain number of people of different levels in your downlines, yes? Which means the percentage of people receiving the cheques will ALWAYS remain the same. There are consistently the same percentage of people involved in an MLM who were sold on the dream lifestyle that will NEVER achieve it because it's mathematically impossible.

The cheques are a huge PR exercise, keep your downlines motivated people, they too will never get there one day.

Don't get distracted by the flashiness of it all. That's the point.

Toobusytowee · 24/04/2016 12:30

Notyourfanboy, you told us exactly how rare it is for anyone to get a Chairman's bonus cheque and then you gave us a golf analogy. The analogy showed how amazingly difficult and unrealistic it is to aspire to the top few. I think you need to listen to yourself.

Toobusytowee · 24/04/2016 12:39

BS intolerant, I think, from looking at that video, the personal sales are those of you and your downline. 100CC of which are from people you recruited that year. So you have to keep recruiting and encouraging them to make sales.

throwingpebbles · 24/04/2016 12:39

Exactly cheeky
Don't get distracted by the big cheques, that's the whole idea of them, the blindside the doubters, to lure in new recruits

Firstly, as others have said, it's a minute percentage who get them, absolutely tiny

Secondly, even those that do get them have likely invested large amounts of their own money (or the previous years "bonus cheque") to get into the position they are in

  • renting fancy pants houses
  • renting fancy pants cars
  • splashing out on incentives for the "team" to encourage them to "hit targets" (eg we have seen them pay for hotel stays, spa days, holidays, flashy gifts)
  • photo shoots, fancy pants websites.
  • team "shizzles" etc
  • promoted posts on Facebook /Twitter (these can cost ££££££)

and the stress levels look awful. Remember Natalie Heeleys awful desperate plea to people not to defect.....

Toobusytowee · 24/04/2016 12:45

Someone wants to remind us of how this phenomenon we are examining is just part of the 'promise of future reward'.

" 'MLM' is a criminogenic phenomenon (i.e. it produces crime and is the product of crime). Therefore, by their very nature, 'MLM' groups cannot be reformed and made into entirely lawful enterprises.

The universal identifying characteristic of pyramid scams, Ponzi schemes, etc., is that they are all dissimulated closed-market swindles. i.e. No matter how they are camouflaged, their instigators trick victims into investing their money in the false-expectation of future reward, because pyramids and Ponzis have no significant, or sustainable, source of revenue other than their own participants. In the most simple terms, the instigators of pyramids and Ponzis are economic alchemists who peddle their victims infinite shares of their own finite money. In the late 1940s, a new more-sustainable type of dissimulated closed-market swindle appeared in the USA, and a typically-impressive-sounding jargon term, 'Multi-Level Marketing,' was made-up to camouflage it. Eight decades later, the 'MLM' phenomenon has spread all over the globe hidden behind literally thousands of legally-registered corporate structures. The instigators of these outrageous mass-swindles are currently being allowed to operate in plain sight, and the fact that they are being allowed to steal without hindrance, continues to convince many of their victims, and observers, that they can't possibly be thieves. Indeed, the comic-book term, 'MLM,' has even succeeded in entering dictionaries, and encyclopedias, and has been habitually repeated by regulators, legislators, journalists, etc."

timeless vie shop now open!!

Think there are more products to come too.

No pressure to buy unless you want a promotion and a huge shiney bonus cheque

Any proceeds raised are going to fund the timeless vie MLM resistance activities... Will try and point lasts nose back towards the thread so she can explain more if you like??

cozietoesie · 24/04/2016 13:24

Great stuff, throwing. Smile

throwingpebbles · 24/04/2016 13:38

I can't take the credit, it's all down to the sweat and toil and creativity of smiinky and last Smile

notyourfanboy · 24/04/2016 13:53

Nice to see your shop is open - I trust all proceeds will go to fund your future campaigns. Will the shop accounts be available for public viewing as well or will they be open to a select few?

The reason I ask is that as you have constantly requested the accounting practices of FLP, surely those contributing towards your fund by buying goods will want to know their money is going to the right place.

We have already had instances where we had a poster trying to divert traffic from this thread to his own site - to satisfy his own advertisers - just wanting to it all above board

cozietoesie · 24/04/2016 14:09

I would imagine that Timeless Vie would be entirely happy to open relevant accounts to an independent auditor at any time if required to do so, throwing? Wink

I've just watched those poor animals by the way. Being about to pee on the parslaii makes them pretty Negativist doesn't it ? Grin

throwingpebbles · 24/04/2016 14:11

Actually cozie we are going to find an obscure compensation structure that hides the fact that most of the money is going to a billionaire homophobe in Utah.....

cozietoesie · 24/04/2016 14:13

Tsk. Grin

BSintolerant · 24/04/2016 14:36

cozietoesie · 24/04/2016 14:59

I have to admit that that was one of the great logos. Smile

Toobusytowee · 24/04/2016 15:45

I just placed a TV order! If I recruit three people to do the same will I get paid to do my shopping?

throwingpebbles · 24/04/2016 15:45

Yeah I think it is on "last" s very long to do list melaw it is a super awesome logo. Tbh honest all you need is a very dodgy website and some tins of carnation milk and you could probably persuade several thousand people to sign up!!!

throwingpebbles · 24/04/2016 15:48

totes toobusy ! But the best way to persuade them to sign up is to really bring the products into every area of your life! It's all about being your only best customer and promoting the timeless vie dream!!

soon we will roll out our own range of giant cheques that you can hold up while coyly hiding the amount Grin

DollyTwat · 24/04/2016 15:56

I'd like a big wipe clean cheque
I shall ask our accounts dept to present it to me every month, I'll get all my work mates to whoop and cheer as I receive it

throwingpebbles · 24/04/2016 16:03

And then we can all share your posts and pretend we are super duper happy for you when really we are ranging with envy
