holiholiday · 08/01/2007 01:11

well mine started in august and still isn't sorted, but slightly different scenario as we had to get dna done cos xdp was denying it all.

holiholiday · 08/01/2007 01:12

i think i remember 12 weeks being the maximum time mentioned?

twinsetandpearls · 08/01/2007 01:12

Five years and waiting here!

MamazonAKAfatty · 08/01/2007 01:12

about 15 yeasr isn't it?

sorry thats not helpfull. tbh i think it very much depends on each case.

twinsetandpearls · 08/01/2007 01:15

Mine is an extreme case! sorry am in a bad mood after another useless letter from them on friday!

holiholiday · 08/01/2007 01:16

twinset hope you don't mind me asking but what do you mean by extreme?

twinsetandpearls · 08/01/2007 01:27

I meant extreme as in it has taken the five yearsto achieve absolutely nothing and I don't think they ever will.

I had steady maintence for the first year of dd life and then it all went wrong as he worked for his family and when he started refusing to pay and an attachemnt to earnings was strated they refused to hand over the money. THey then went bankrupt twice, he hasd changed jobs twice and now had another kid.I actually in effectpay him maintenance.

nappyaddict · 08/01/2007 01:35

what's an attachment to earnings?

twinsetandpearls · 08/01/2007 08:29

they take maintenance straight from the employer, used when men don't pay their maintenance but of no suse when the employer is his family!

hoolagirl · 08/01/2007 12:53

2 years and still waiting for first payment.

scorpio1 · 08/01/2007 13:43

my dss birth mother put in a claim when she started on benefits, and the claim was worked out within a week.

however, my ds1 father seems to get away with it.not sure if its because we arent on benefits, but they havent chased him up, despite my requests for 4,yes, 4 years.

i once got a payment from csa in august 2003 for £250. that is it!

hope yours goes well!

nappyaddict · 08/01/2007 14:49

oh yes twinset i knew someone who used to get their boss who was a family friend to give part of his wages in cash so it looked like he wasn't earning as much.

twinsetandpearls · 09/01/2007 22:31

It was a nihgtmare, theywere extremely unpleasant family and told me that if I ever rocked the boke they would "sack him"and pay him cash in hand or simply pay him not to work as they were that desperate to hurt me.

I get nothing from him now and to be honestprefer it that way.

Emskilou · 09/01/2007 22:44

18 months still waiting and no correspondence despite contant chasing in 13 months, tossers. Not that they anooy me of course

mufti · 09/01/2007 22:54

dont hold your breath - but one tip that does help - put in a complaint and you get a quicker response.
