Paddy yes I had a look at that. To my semi tutored eye I think the LLPs are more likely to be capital allowances-like tax avoidance. As I said before, I should think that there are a few accountants who make their money from selling services/products to bots.

I looked up LeachBot last week ON companies House and her and hubs have had a company for 6 or so years but it has never traded. They have always filed dormant accounts. so maybe it just existed as a front because it's the same name as their FL distributor status... bit dodge

they opened a new company last year with a very very similar name and it is yet to file any financial results.

Hubs is off his own back a director of a large handful of property companies. LOS for tax purposes. These existed long before FL involvement and there are loads of other directors involved too so I'd guess this is where he makes his money

she on the other hand just plays at being a powerful FLBot because presumably it makes her feel important

after looking at botwatch earlier I was annoyed to say the least at some of the claims that had been made! wonder if i'll get a response?

I've always had a J.O.B. so please can someone explain how it works with filing accounts for companies? At what point do these accounts become public info? Is there a way to prove that someone is lying about making money?

You file the accounts 10 months after the end of the period (year)

if you're running a business through a limited Co, all your business transactions should go through that Co. you can't pick and choose the ones that do (if you're above board)

which is why it's odd that QLS company has been dormant since it was set up

LMGTFY that's if they've registered as a LTD company. When turnover (sales) is less than £632k pa then they only have to submit micro accounts so we can't really dig into anything. It does show one thing though- Their businesses are not turning over more than £632k pa

Out of interest, has anyone ever worked out the raw cost of product for these MLMs - eg how much does it really cost to make a bottle of gloop? I was interested to know just how 'high-margin' these various 'offerings' are.

Great Robert Fitzpatrick piece as usual. I'm gonna need to read that a few times for it all to soak in but some stood out straight away.

'Let us be clear in recognizing that individual success in all MLMs is not based on personal sales or "direct selling" as it is called. In 15 years of work in MLM, I have not found an individual who earned sustainable profit without recruiting other recruiters. No one in MLM has or does gain sustainable profit from individual door-to-door selling, an outmoded and unnecessary method of product distribution. Add in absurdly high prices, an upside-down commission plan that rewards the recruiter and oppresses the street-level retailer, unprotected territories, constant inundation of competitive salespeople, no advertising allowed, punishing inventory purchase requirements, and the MLM "direct selling" business is revealed as an utter sham'.

We know that bots aren't allowed to make medical claims for their products, but does anyone know if there is similar regulation of veterinary medicine? My Flbot is pushing the aloe for animals angle (how is that even a thing??).
