In case workingwithwithchimps doesn't comprehend what I'm saying, I'm predicting that she again won't demonstrate the ability to use her critical, and evaluative, faculties, by giving the correct answer to my thought-provoking question.

Eyespying · 01/03/2016 16:36

'Eyespying - you are not merely suggesting anything - you rarely do, I honestly can't be arsed to read your posts because after the third sentence my mind begins to wander - so forgive me for not answering your questions as I don't get far enough into the post to read them!'

Well I think I've just proved my point quite conclusively.

Wombatinabathhat · 01/03/2016 16:37

Erm, excuse me Blush .. What is MLM and what is a BOT?
I have seen these threads but don't know what they are about. Just trying to educate myself. Would someone please explain? Thank you

workingwithchimps · 01/03/2016 16:39

Eyespying - Yep you proved it alright - that I am bored of your shitz....

Twunk · 01/03/2016 16:39

Wombat you mean you don't have time to read 10 full threads? Grin

Twunk · 01/03/2016 16:39

We should let Chimps explain what an MLM is. I would be interested to read her answer.

Patzy85 · 01/03/2016 16:40

Hi Wombat - MLM is multilevel marketing such as Forever Living, Juice Plus etc where the systems looks like a pyramid scheme but isn't, apparently.

Bots are the people in MLMs who recruit and sell overpriced gunge and capsules.

mlmtheamericandreammadenightmare.blogspot.fr/2013/02/forever-living-products-flp-is-mlm.html

Try reading this article which explains the origin of the made-up thought- stopping term, 'MLM.'

'Bots' (short for Robots) are deluded persons who have mistaken the Utopian 'MLM' fiction for fact and who systematically try to convince everyone whom they encounter, to join them.

lastuseraccount123 · 01/03/2016 16:43

cita what do you mean by "believe" in some of hte products?

Surely if they have any health claims they should have been tested in peer-reviewed double-blind trials by an independent lab?

Wombatinabathhat · 01/03/2016 16:43

Twunk exactly Grin
Patzy Thank you

What is Forever Living? Should I just leave Wink

workingwithchimps · 01/03/2016 16:43

Twunk - as much as I would love to spend more time with the assembled "adherents" here - I must get back to my business. I took time out to put forward a view and now my life calls me back. Play nicely all - I don't want to hear of any bad practices!

Melaw21 · 01/03/2016 16:46

Noooo stay wombat you have much to learn young botwatcher... 😂

OP posts:
Patzy85 · 01/03/2016 16:46

Wombat - Forever Living, in a nutshell, is a company who sell only over priced aloe based products along with the promise to earn a 6 figure sum.

Eyespying · 01/03/2016 16:47

Citaborca is now saying that he/she isn't really a Bot at all.

throwingpebbles · 01/03/2016 16:48

Oh how funny! Just as I predicted, chimps is too busy to answer how a bot could sell revolting aloe gloop without breaching the rules as explained very clearly here

Twunk · 01/03/2016 16:48

You can't answer me now? Well we'll see you later then. Perhaps you could think of the answer in the meantime. Also you've still got to sell me some gloop, remember.

throwingpebbles · 01/03/2016 16:49

Oh do stay wombat Smile I think it is a good idea for us to stick a basic explanation of these scams on here intermittently ...

Twunk · 01/03/2016 16:49

Throwing we keep X-posting.

Eyespying · 01/03/2016 16:54

'Eyespying - Yep you proved it alright - that I am bored of your shitz....'

Ordinarily I would report this type of childish drivel, but it just shows how, when faced with any well-informed challenge, 'MLM' shill Bots will retreat into their intellectual bunker and slam the door behind them.

cozietoesie · 01/03/2016 16:57

I'd actually disagree with a PP or two. I think it is possible to lose real friends. Sure, most of them will be acquaintances but I think hardly anyone is immune to the right manipulation, even though they may have been valued by you or dear to you.

It's a sadness.

Melaw21 · 01/03/2016 16:58

Turns out that 'stampin up' is an Mlm, according to info on the internet...thanks for bringing that to our attention cita, a lot of non bot work from home mums could find that very interesting, due to the craft connection, I have definetly come across them within friendship circles (although I dont use the product) , but totally missed the mlm connection... Obviously excercise caution here Mumsnetters!

Patzy85 · 01/03/2016 17:01

I was wondering about what happens when you sign up a close friend and it doesn't work out for them.

Any experiences?

bossbabebot · 01/03/2016 17:02

Just like to remind folk - FL, JP et al are NOT pyramid schemes

They are inverted funnels - totally different things obvs
