The arrival of a new kid on the block is going to upset a lot of people then?

So if existing distributors might be worried about 'sameness' and the new kid comes in touting a 'fresh start' (or whatever) ?

I was considering how, if I were a team leader, I could sell 'steady as you go' in the face of that combined with some of the starlets defecting and possible overtures from poachers who would make that fact known.

I don't think I could.

Yes. I suppose it's the only real card they have to play. I'll mull over that one.

I'm sick of the one minute it's not a get rich quick scheme then the next they are telling you they are making more than they did being employed full time in a matter of weeks! A lot of the claims I see at the moment are about what money there is to be made!

darceybussell · 03/03/2016 06:52

Me, me pick me!! I'm living a life of quiet desperation behind my closed doors with no hope, nowhere to go and a bleak future to look forward to!

stopfaffing · 03/03/2016 07:13

JL's quotes:-

"It's so easy to conversationally market the power of the aloe"

Eh? What 'power'? Where's the clinical-based trial evidence, hun?

"You cannot get rich, it is impossible to get rich unless you know how to recruit people."

Yes JD, we know it is recruitment of bots not the selling of gloop that is the money spinner. We know the product is irrelevant.

"In fact we just broke another front line manager last month in Zimbabwe"

That's right JD, exploiting the African nation, arn't you?Angry

"I won't work with anyone who hasn't done a minimum of 100 names (wdykl)".

Phew, that's me off the hook , cos I don't know anyone at all Grin.

I'm only five minutes in to this recording so far...

Paddybare · 03/03/2016 07:24

"
'Most people, ladies and gentlemen are living lives of quiet desperation behind their closed doors with no hope, nowhere to go and a bleak future to look forward to. You are their hope."

The quote from the Jayne Leech video makes my stomach turn. It's like she's addressing her missionaries to go out with their message of religious salvation. I've understood a lot more about MLM practices since reading these threads. Not sure exactly why but just that paragraph seems to define everything you need to know about how underhand they truly are.

darceybussell · 03/03/2016 07:27

What does 'the clock is ticking' mean? Does it mean if I don't start now everyone in the world will be in FL except me and I will have to be their slave? Every time I hear a line like that I can't understand how people believe that, but they do!

stopfaffing · 03/03/2016 07:39

Another quote from the JL video (about 7 mins)...
"Never ever leave home without your business cards and marketing flyers. wherever I go I've always got them with me...to remind people of who I am...so you never ever miss an opportunity to engage in conversation and to leave something with somebody, but only if they give you their number in return."

Yes, more evidence that an FL bot will never ever have time off, but will always be working the business 24/7.

Urgh, can you imagine how stressful it must be to have to, every single time you leave your house for any reason, be always on the lookout for your next downline to expoit.

ICJump · 03/03/2016 07:41

Thermomix is a party plan. Each unit is about$2500 and I think the rep
Gets 500 of that

stopfaffing · 03/03/2016 07:47

JL's take on fb promotion...

"You have 3-400 people on fb...promote the lifestyle, get people curious. People really like to see the lifestyle, success and stories".

Er, no they don't, hun. Judging by the zero likes these posts get, anyway (unless from other fl bots or your mum).

Meaning, you must lie about your lifestyle to give the impression of success.

She then goes on to tell bots to join groups or organisations that have a special interest for them, get to know people, build relationships, then, swoop in and market fl. More exploitation of 'friendships'.

stopfaffing · 03/03/2016 07:52

Hahaha!

JL's ideas about referrals from people.

After receiving a "no" from someone..."I know the business isn't for you right now (Roger) but who do you know who might like to make an extra £10-£20,000 per month? Who do you know?

Hmm, can't think of anyone offhand who wants an extra £10-£20,000 a month, do you? Grin

rayofhope · 03/03/2016 07:58

stop saying you don't know 100 people is just an excuse hun. I want you to sit down and create your warm wdyk list using our super memory jogger and don't forget to use FROGS and STEAM too. We'll have your list in no time.

Oh and if you don't know 100 people and you will (!) then we will start contact marketing, think of all those hundreds of people you walk past in town every day........

Twunk · 03/03/2016 08:23

FROGS and STEAM?

Thanks Cito for posting the link - I will watch it later if it's still there! At the hospital at the moment with DS2 seeing real doctors who give out real medicine and who know that "boosting your immune system" is a terrifically bad idea (unless it's gamma-globulins). It's just a regular check up, thankfully!

Twunk · 03/03/2016 08:25

I know between 300 and 400 people on Facebook. I guarantee all but about 3 of them would look at me like this Hmm and the 3 are already in MLMs....

cozietoesie · 03/03/2016 08:25

I hope all goes OK, Twunk. Smile

Eyespying · 03/03/2016 08:38

After the JL video, can I remind everyone, that a never-ending chain of 'MLM' shill Bots, like JL, have all been acting essentially the same tragicomic role since it was first written, and performed, in the 1950s. Only the costumes which the deluded stars of these kitsch shows wear, and the inspirational rock music, and laser lighting, which they now come on stage to, has changed. Their comic-book scripts have remained virtually untouched.

In the 'MLM' Utopia, shill Bots pretend:

to have been poor, and/or unhappy, and/or enslaved, and/or struggling, and/or sick, etc. ordinary humans who never had time to be with their loved ones and who had nothing to look forward to except decades of toil and a derisory pension, before death.

to have 'exactly duplicated a proven step by step MLM business building plan.'

to have developed a 100% 'positive' mindset.

to have transformed into prosperous, happy, free, healthy, successful, admired and respected, etc. super-humans simply by recruiting other ordinary humans and helping them to duplicate exactly the same plan and to achieve the same redemption in the 'MLM' Utopia.

'MLM' shows have been almost entirely financed by their ill-informed audiences, but in 'MLM' theatres there has been no fourth wall between the audience and the stars. Whilst they remain under the influence of their script-writer/ director/ producers, 'MLM' shill Bots can never be seen to come out of their super-human characters. Their scripted-reactions to well-informed outsiders challenging the authenticity of the 'MLM' Utopia, can be predicted with almost 100% accuracy.

cozietoesie · 03/03/2016 08:57

Part of the trouble, though, Eye, is that people actually rather like 'sameness'. Once the've been indoctrinated, it can even seem solid and reassuring/affirming. (Especially if it comes with some razzmatazz.)
