We could make some lovely not a pyramid TV memes to illustrate how you might be charted into obscurity to make room for a shiny new viestar.

lastuseraccount123 · 16/02/2016 21:30

I know this isn't the point but the lions featured upthread look fucking miserable. Must be rubbish being a bot. Their eyebrows haven't been done either which is confusing.

Presumably they're so miserable been they been charted off to a very cold and frosty field on a gray and dull day. They're disgruntled and wondering where the bloody savannah and the sunshine went.

At least it's an accurate image for the experience of being surrounded by your minion-bots in an MLM.

ambler21 · 16/02/2016 22:36

If ever there was a time and place to show a pic of an intricately carved root vegetable lion adorned with parsley, this is probably it. (swede btw)

Have you been keeping that one just in case an occasion arises?

Anyone know if norwex is another MLM? A friend has just started working as a consultant, a quick Google says it's e-cloths/ cleaning stuff only available through consultants. She always seemed a sensible type and has a proper job, so doesn't seem an obvious candidate for this type of thing!

Lovewineandchocs · 16/02/2016 22:53

I want a parslai fleece! Waaaahhh! Get on it, TV! Smile

Looks like it. Norwex appears to let you host parties for cleaning products (wow, those sound like fun) and 'The opportunity to earn gifts and awards from sales incentive programs and team building promotions'.

Also they have a 'how you make money' section on the website, which suggests that it isn't immediately obvious or straightforward.

That fleece is just the right colour anyway. All you need is a nice parslai badge to sew over the logo and you'll be able to switch to TV.

My bot is giving the gloopy aloe shite full credit for curing her child's asthma. She's got people asking for more info as their child has it too Angry

MrGrumpy01 · 16/02/2016 23:05

Oh I dunno, a cleaning party sounds fun, much more fun than wraps and nail art. (I can't even wear nail varnish so nail art would probably be a no)

BSintolerant · 16/02/2016 23:11

Does anyone know how many mlm schemes are in operation, selling crappy products, amazing business opportunities, enviable lifestyles, and their grandmothers?

It's got to reach saturation point soon, surely?

I'm surprised mlms are popular in Dubai - running up debts which you can't pay off is a criminal offence there.

Hang on, how about a TB board game based on monopoly? Think of all those castles and casas you could build in exchange for parslai currency. "Pass Go! Collect a cheque for £12.69 (and don't cash it all at once)!"

I've been watching YouTube videos of norwex parties, they are as dull as I'd imagined.

You get to sit and listen to a presentation about microfibre cleaning cloths. With the odd 'game' shoehorned in, but they're like those games invented by your toddler where you're not quite sure in what way it actually is a game or how it's supposed to be fun.

StepAwayFromTheThesaurus · 16/02/2016 23:19

You can buy microfibre cloths in the pound shop, meant you?

StepAwayFromTheThesaurus · 16/02/2016 23:22

Apparently, the cloths pick up literally everything and leave nothing behind. They're essentially the nothing in cloth format. Rather than a home you'll be left standing in a blank void like the empress hoping that Bastien is going to say your name.

MrGrumpy01 · 16/02/2016 23:24

bs Many, many mlm's but I think a lot of members are the same people trying to find the one that works, as they think the last one didn't because they didn't 'believe' in the product enough.

It is a hard cycle to break I imagine.
