cubic yes I know what you are saying, and believe me I think FL is a god-awful company, whether there are plenty of normal bots and uplines or not-in fact they are the ones likely to suffer. It became increasingly difficult for me even to look people in the eye when they wanted to buy the products from me, let alone take their money, once I realised what the company itself was actually about! And I wouldn't buy Nestle from anywhere, no matter how nice the shopkeeper 😀 but I'm sure there are those who continued their brand loyalty to Nestle despite their actions-and there will be those who continue to both buy and sell FL products despite the mounting evidence that the company is rotten to the core. It's amazing what people will turn a blind eye to if they think the products are helping them or if they are desperate for some extra cash. Re brand loyalty you only have to look at how the Asher's "cake-gate" case has divided people here in NI.

Amazing news last !!!! That's a lot of views! And well done to the brave person who has come forward.

throwingpebbles · 15/02/2016 16:05

cubic that's really interesting and makes sense in a strangely awful way!

I think the MLMs have played a blinder in getting people to see them as the exact opposite of supporting a global EvilCorp. After all, by buying in your community you are supporting local women to develop businesses and make better lives for their families...

The sleight of hand is nefarious.

StepAwayFromTheThesaurus · 15/02/2016 16:13

BTW, I agree that much of what eyes posts is interesting and important. There may just be an issue of tone really.

Lovewineandchocs · 15/02/2016 16:14

Lol yes I'm now in the mood for cake too! throwing it's Asher's bakery gay marriage cake case, which is still going on. We're nuts here in NI 😀

WonderousStories · 15/02/2016 16:16

i dont rate Jane Ashers cakes - i tried one once and it was a dry as a nuns chuff

Eyespying · 15/02/2016 16:16

StepAwayFromTheThesaurus What you have just written is essentially what I have been saying for a very long time. The overwhelming majority of recruits abandon 'MLM' rackets within a short period. That said, a significant number of the minority who have found the money to continue, have literally destroyed themselves and their friends and families. Far from being bogeymen, this core minority are both perpetrators and victims of fraud. For decades a succession of 'MLM' racketeers have poured fortunes into drawing everyone's attention away from the minority of destitute chronic victims, by presenting their so-called 'income opportunities' as banal, harmless and risk free.

lastuseraccount123 Thanks.

Lovewineandchocs · 15/02/2016 16:21

wonderous
Not Jane Asher in this case 😀 Asher's are an NI-based bakery. Their cakes are gorgeous-but I haven't bought any since cake-gate

DayToDayShit · 15/02/2016 16:25

Twenty thousand views that's fantastic Last It seems the campaign is really gaining exposure now and if more ex Mlm members are feeling comfortable enough to come forward with their own stories that's even more brilliant news.

lastuseraccount123 · 15/02/2016 16:39

yup and as always we could not have done it without all of you. GO TEAM!

Eyes, do you know this blogger? www.lazymanandmoney.com

Apologies if you've already been asked this.

He has written some pretty good articles about MLMs. I think toobusy linked to his blog on bot watch and I think his posts come across as really well considered.

lastuseraccount123 · 15/02/2016 16:46

darceybussell The only problem I've got with this guy is that he's allowed what (appears to be) unrestricted advertising on his site. Due to the 'MLM' content of his articles (even though it's very critical), some of the advertising the site has automatically attracted, has been 'MLM'-related. If his readers are forewarned about 'MLM', this isn't really important, but it doesn't do much for the guy's credibilty. It's a shame, because he writes very well.
