It's crazy isn't it? Our house has doubled in value over the last 6 years and we would like to move to a bigger house. But there is no way we could afford anything else in this area as housing is becoming so ridiculously expensive now.

but true, we are paying someone elses mortgage on a house

more rent than we would for a mortgage, but can we afford to pay 10 - 20% over the asking price for a house? of course not

sick of being at the whim of a landlord,

but at least we do have a place to live, we are warm and comfortable, just wish we didn't have to keep moving
