The Law of Attraction is karma with horns and a sting in the tale.

(I don't believe in karma)

Eyespying · 11/02/2016 12:26

The combining of a pyramid scheme with the closed-logic ritual belief that all financial losses are the fault of individuals for not not totally believing that profits will arrive, is perhaps the perfect crime.

sminkypink · 11/02/2016 12:49

I believe in the Buddhist take on karma which is that every action you take will manifest in some way, either now or at some in the future, depending what it is. So if you put £1 in your bank every week it will manifest in over £50 quid in a years time. If you slag someone off on Facebook and they find out a week later and call you a git, then that's another action that has manifested, but it took a week to manifest. Some actions manifest immediately, you know, like scoring a goal that causes you to win the FA cup. But the karma to do with that situation might be all of the hard work trianing that you put in. Karma is sanskrit for action and it's not magic. Not at all. The concept is taught in order to help people understand that you are responsible for a lot of what happens in your life, but only the things you can affect. Making up magic wishes and putting white car photos on a pinboard doesn't make them happen, the manifestation of that action is probably to cause you to feel disappointment when it doesn't work, or lead you do stupid things such as rent a big barn (to kid yourself on that it works), rather than decide to action a right to buy of your council house. Deciding to avoid people who are negative because you might catch their negativity (as Rhonda Byrne teaches), is a ridiculous concept.

sminkypink · 11/02/2016 12:51

And I'm sure the citizens of Homs in Syria would be overjoyed to hear that they attracted having their city blown to bits because they were being negative, I mean, really!

Patzy85 · 11/02/2016 12:56

The funny thing about the spiritual tie (LOA and karma) is that it is believed good things happen to good people, through good actions and mindful living.

Flogging overpriced crap to someone who is looking for a cure or getting someone to part with 200 quid just so you can act like a boss babe is neither mindful or decent.

In fact, they should seriously hope karma doesn't exist!

sminkypink · 11/02/2016 13:02

Exactly! their actions are causing suffering. Deceiving people causes suffering.

They do not understand the concept of karma.

My sil has invited me to a page called Vip customers (and the rest of her original fl name). Didnt think anything of it until this morning when I read on her mentors page that she and other managers are doing a special Vip event in the near future. Could it be they are going to invite Customers to this event, and do I "like" her page, like another 11 people have, to see if they do? Btw whats going on with "truth"? I pm'd her but got no reply. Last, you said she pm'd you could you enlighten us please? I thought it was strange when I pm'd her before and she just told me stuff about castle bot that I already know. Come on Truth, talk to us.

FLhahaha · 11/02/2016 13:28

Browsing the FL handbook (2015 link attached)

www.foreverknowledge.info/fileadmin/documents/2015-downloads/Company_Policy_-_September_9_2015.pdf

I came across this gem

" FBOs qualifying for tickets for Company events will only receive tickets for those
named on the FBO Application Form which was approved by Head Office. If a legally
married spouse is not named on the form, an extra ticket may be awarded at the
Company’s discretion. Room allocations, etc. will be made on the basis that FBOs
named on the same FBO Application Form will share. Single FBOs will be expected
to share a twin room with another single FBO of the same sex. FBOs wishing single
occupancy will be asked to pay a supplement. "

So those 'all expenses paid' trips - involve sharing a room with a random stranger!

Eyespying · 11/02/2016 13:32

The non-rational closed-logic mindset that *'good/pure/positive, etc. thoughts/deeds' will bring you reward, but bad/impure/negative, etc. thought/deeds will bring you punishment,' lies at the heart of totalistic thought reform a.k.a. brainwashing.

However, this is a very commonly-held non-rational belief, and often it has facilitated the recruiting of persons holding it, into cults.

I have to say that my own mother (who was brought up as a Methodist, but became an atheist) held the above non-rational belief and, although she never joined 'Amway,' she was easily fooled by the 'Amway Prosperity Gospel' fairy story, because it was perfectly tailored to fit her existing model of reality.

FleeBee · 11/02/2016 14:21

This from a top bot seems at odds with what FL appears to be

Melaw21 · 11/02/2016 14:49

Loving that mug! 😂😂😂😂

Melaw21 · 11/02/2016 14:50

Countdown to its removal from fb...5...4...3...2...1 lol

throwingpebbles · 11/02/2016 14:53

I know fleebee I saw that post by our dear friend and thought it was the complete antithesis of FL. and indeed of all her previous posts!

It is however aligned with my values Smile

dreich · 11/02/2016 14:53

Ha ha! I thought the joke was about the staged nature of that selfie 'let me just sit here pretending to be busy' but no it's the mug. Carefully planned photo fail

throwingpebbles · 11/02/2016 14:54

girl Grin maybe it was a gift from someone she had tried to recruit one too many times ...

throwingpebbles · 11/02/2016 14:55

patzy yep I agree. If karma does exist then one day they will realise that they, like their underlings, have been pointlessly flogging overpriced gloop on the promise of a better future round the corner oh wait ...

lastuseraccount123 · 11/02/2016 15:35

+3 to all those who smell a bot-troll over the "MK stuff". She keeps claiming she has all this info but can never produce any actual evidence...

lastuseraccount123 · 11/02/2016 15:40

I HATE LOA. It puts the blame for everything bad on the individual. I mean, really, all those people in WW2 - they were just sooooo negative. It's pernicious crap.

rayofhope · 11/02/2016 15:41

Girlfromthenorth I saw that pic the other day and laughed at the mug too! But if you look closely it has a FL logo on it so it's from their eagle managers retreat in Oct that was in Cancun. Just a badly placed mug or perfectly placed haha

Annie65 · 11/02/2016 15:55

Last, glad I wasnt being paranoid, thanks for that, have we got our own hater. #shake it off, just shake it off.Grin

Patzy85 · 11/02/2016 16:02

I received an inbox from truth saying the northern team, think it was Newcastle, that were the main culprits and now apparently it's those in MK?

The questions I asked were never answered either. Just random statements made, nothing that made sense.

I never bothered relaying anything said as I assumed it was someone trying to get us all to spread lies so that they can say we are just making stuff up and sensationalising the 'truth'.

Too bad.

Let's stick to facts and evidence. That's what we will bury them with, after all. Smile
