Because the indoctrination into the cult makes them think thats what they want? I find it all a big turn off. In Merchants of Deception they are encouraged to get Cadillacs, diamonds and furs.
Anyway, my friend sent me this blog today. It's the antithesis of the bot mindset. I totally subscibe to, 'be happy as you are'.
I mean, when you compare old videos of EC to the latest ones. You can see the stress in her face and behaviour, she's presenting that webinar through extreme tiredness, caffeine and gritted teeth. Poor girl.

Sminky You've hit the nail on the head. A lot of these bots are seduced into thinking that success is all about making lots of money at all costs.

There's an article on falsprofits.com about MLM schemes which explains why the whole thing made me feel uncomfortable. This quote sums it up:

MLM's overreaching appeal to wealth and luxury conflicts with most people's true desire for meaningful and fulfilling work in something in which they have special talent or interest. In short, the culture of this business side tracks many people from their personal values and desires to express their unique talents and aspirations.

If I hadn't got a clue about what my core values and talents were, what my own definition of success was (it doesn't include white cars, fur coats, or diamonds) and what I consider to be meaningful and fulfilling work, I'd have been well and truly suckered in.

Yep. And having read quite a bit of the training, which is, quite frankly brain dead, how anyone could ever find this fulfilling, ever. I mean, it's far more rewarding doing something challenging that you happen to be good at and that you love, than sticking photos of cars on pinboards and wishing. Oh how I hate law of attraction, its so depressing, because it doesn't work and it encourages people to do stupid things in order to create the illusion that it does. They remind me of a friend who went to see a clairvoyant who told her she would have a second son with her abusive partner. Well she stayed with him and it seems got pregnant deliberately and had a daughter, rather than listening to her own intuition. These awful l.o.a. cults shut down your own wisdom and compassion, its what makes them so evil.

Tiredemma · 11/02/2016 09:29

Can I have a PM about what happened at MK please?

My BOT actually said "its not about selling gel" in a sneering way that alluded to tricking people into joining up. Like a smoke screen. Once you are 'hooked' you are in.

cozietoesie · 11/02/2016 09:51

Yes - they do all look so very tired, don't they? And not in a healthy 'I've spent today double digging the beds and now I'm going to have a soak and a relax' physical way but a sort of deep down, soul-searing mental weariness. (Makeup notwithstanding.)

BSintolerant · 11/02/2016 10:18

If you waste your precious time on this earth on mind-numbing, unfulfilling tasks (which is what a lot of network marketing seems to entail) you'll be tired, drained and look like a wreck in no time.

Patzy85 · 11/02/2016 10:18

It's gut wrenching, you can see the cult destroying them, before your eyes. The evil, evil fuckers, it makes me so angry that you can abuse people in this way and not go to prison. This is what keeps me going with our campaign. It must be exposed and the abuse must stop.

BSintolerant · 11/02/2016 10:21

I have a theory about the MK shenanigans. Does it involve someone ending up with a box full of vile tasting gunk? Grin

What happened in MK might not stay in MK for too long. Wink

sminkypink · 11/02/2016 10:22

And yeah, the books are mind numbingly simplistic, it's why they take so little time to read. Even the training is all fur coat and no knickers.

LadyHonoriaDedlock · 11/02/2016 10:24

Has anyone come across this bunch of assholes? www.infinite-potential.co.uk/
For the second year running they have managed to get their event in our town's Women's Festival. Last year it was 'healthy wealthy women' and I did contact the organisers to point out that it was a stealthy MLM pitch, so this year they've changed tactic. They're running a session called "Myth busting facts about Network Marketing" - a link to their website shows a new (?) MLM called FM group which seems to sell weird tea and perfume (probably the same product in different boxes)
Their blurb in the programme says "Own your own life. Yes it is possible...come along and find the truth about MLM" (Hah!) They're inviting MLM companies and people who want 'financial freedom and more' FFS. It's pretty much the opposite of feminism.

LadyHonoriaDedlock · 11/02/2016 10:27

Uggghhh now I've actually read my own link, it's FL. Of course it is.

Melaw21 · 11/02/2016 10:28

BS my theory on truth and MK is that it was a trolling excercise/distraction by a bot.... However... I remain to be enlightened, please truth do prove my suspicions wrong with some details!

Patzy85 · 11/02/2016 10:38

Melaw - I think that's all it was too.

sminkypink · 11/02/2016 10:58

Yup, you're going to have to expect to get trolled or bullbaited, it's a given. It means you're getting somewhere doesn't it?
Also don't understand the context of a couple of abusive posts on this thread (maybe because they can't type?) I'm surprised we've not had more of this tbh.

sminkypink · 11/02/2016 11:03

Ladyhonoriadedlock FM group (from your link) appears to be a Polish mlm

fmworld.com/en/#page-about

The thing that drew me into this whole campaign was another Polish mlm, FlavonMax (a juice plus copycat). They have my (ex) friend. I've had to block because I do not want her coloured powders at £30 a jar.

Eyespying · 11/02/2016 11:12

One of the devious tactics used by worried 'MLM' shill Bots has been to contact Blogs like mine (which offer anonymity to commentators) using their own names, but asking me not to post their identity. They think that this will prevent me from ever naming them.

One such commentator had been the CEO of an 'MLM' front company in Australia. He contacted me wanting my advice and immediately requested written assurances that I wouldn't post his name, but he failed to declare that he was still promoting another 'MLM' racket.

When I called him out, he then pretended he would sue.

I've had to post a detailed explanation stating that anonymity does not apply to 'MLM' apologists.

sminkypink · 11/02/2016 11:17

I think we've all got our bullshit detectors turned up to 11, haven't we? Especially after the lies we've already uncovered.

Oh, so tell me how the law of attraction enabled you to buy this beautiful barn then? How amazing. It really works!

rayofhope · 11/02/2016 11:20

sminky it's all in The Secret. Follow the laws of attraction and you will have your beautiful barn and range rover. Give me a sec and I'll post some of the pages out of it.

sminkypink · 11/02/2016 11:24

It's horrible isn't it? I've also read analysis of it. Post me some bits up and I'll post up the analysis of it.
it is horrible. It's amusing that the mlm companies are supposedly Christian as a lot of what L.O.A. teaches opposes basically every world religious teaching. It teaches greed.

Eyespying · 11/02/2016 11:34

The 'Prosperity Gospel Bishop' in this video clip from the 1990s, is now an 'Ariix' shill Bot. The other 'Properity Gospel Preacher' was his role model.

rayofhope · 11/02/2016 11:38

First one. Really visualise what you want. You want that white range rover, go sit in it in the shop, smell it, feel it, think it's your own and it will be. post it on fb so people think you've already bought it

I was lapping the book up until I got to these passages. This is what brought me back to reality.

The book is saying to think of those major accidents that have happened in your life (car accident etc) or around the world (lots of major atrocities have happened even in recent years) and it's those people's fault that it happened as they were all on the same frequency (negativity, attracting bad things into their lives)

I'm sorry but I just don't agree with that. These bad things happen because of bad people or a sequence of events caused it. As an example, everyone being depressed and thinking negatively on a flight didn't cause a plane to crash.

But it's one of the favourite books to read at the start of your mindset journey
