child tax credit - they owe me

My son is now receiving DLA HR & LR mobility
It has been backdated so CTC owe me money
They have said they will pay it spread through the year , but many many people get a lump sum - which I would prefer
Is there any way Tax Credits could pay me a lump sum instead??

I got mine spread over the year too. Not heard of lump sums.

If they don't want to they don't have to.

Is there a process where I can ask ?

I got a lump sum in May after renewing. Our income had dropped significantly. I'm not sure if that makes a difference. I would have thought you would get a lump sum at the end of the tax year?

They are saying its to be played £15 a week .. Instead of a lump sum of £900 :(
Has anyone had a decision like this changed ?

They usually backdate from when DLA was awarded, then pay the rest when you get your normal TC in. They don't give you a lump sum for the year.
