eyespying yes j am constantly pondering why the media aren't more on top of this.
I suspect it is at least in part just lack of resources. I read somewhere that it is harder and harder for journalists to get the funds to do proper in-depth investigations

Ribbet8890 · 31/01/2016 18:41

Just incase these links have not been put up yet.

My bots have all gone rather quiet, I wonder if they are all aware of the fact that people don't view them as 'business owners' but 'perpetual pesterers'!

There's so much great information on these threads and it's really interesting to see more and more people come forward to join in.

I would love to know what direction will be taken by FL HQ in light of these threads. Considering the level of information, facts and evidence as well as a clear insight it to how these people are viewed from the outside they'll have to take some serious action!

The comments made about people leaving being "misguided" are disgusting. That is exactly why I loathe these manipulative top bots!

Patzy85 · 31/01/2016 18:45

I would love to hear from any more ex bots and bots who are wanting to get out like Jazmine, utmost respect for those who can see through the lies!

Hearing from you really helps others, even those just contemplating joining after being targeted.

Motorheadmum · 31/01/2016 18:54

Thank you rayofhope it was a case of they had conned me and lied so I wanted back the money! I'm glad I stood up, it caused a fair amount of ructions. I know one lady had her merc and was left with a bit of time left on the lease!!

The FL friend is trying to get everyone on board, endless pm's and 'events' nothing is sacred. She just put a picture of her dinner her son had cooked but there was a can on FL energy drink....

You are right. The maker of this (unfinished) film, Paul Mathieu, spoke to me more than 12 months ago. His film is loosely based on my research into the origins of 'MLM' fairy story. Paul didn't have the funds to come to Europe with a film crew to do an interview with me. He wanted me to fly to California, but he didn't even have the funds for that.

To date, Bill Ackman has pumped $100+ millions into the investigation/exposure of the 'Herbalife' racket (mostly in attorneys fees), but his company has given nothing, and done nothing, to help expose the wider problem, and certainly not to the few people who understand it fully.

At the moment MN TV, represents a far greater threat to 'MLM' racketeering than anything going on in the mainstream media.

throwingpebbles · 31/01/2016 19:30

I think you are right eyes , through my sharing TV Facebook posts I have had a number of people messaging or commenting who have had their eyes really opened to the shady reality of these schemes.

Eyespying · 31/01/2016 19:54

throwingpebbles I also think that what's now going on MN TV demonstrates how a large number of people in Britain still have not only the capacity to stand back and recognise this star-spangled bullshit for what it is, but also the guts and gumption to challenge it.

Like the toothy termites who call themselves 'televangelists,' 'MLM' bosses and 'self-betterment/mindset gurus/masters', have gnawed so deeply into the heart of US culture, that the idea of re-establishing the rule of law and stamping them out, has become almost unthikable.

Let's face it, Donald Trump, the current (celebrity) poll-front-runner for nomination as Republican party candidate for US President, has been the pitch man for a 'MLM income opportunity racket, but there is no way that Trump will ever face criminal charge relating to these shameful matters.

That's how far the 'MLM' termites have dined.

FLhahaha · 31/01/2016 19:59

Here is a link to a questionnaire about whether or not a business needs to register under the DPA. As far as I can see, if someone keeps records of personal info of other people on a computer for business purposes, they need to register. Could someone who used to MLM have a look and comment?

Here is how to request data that a business holds on you. I would strongly suggest ex FL sales people or customers do this, both to FL UK Ltd (who are registered) and to their 'upline' (who may or may not be).

And then there are the direct marketing rules, which I am still looking at.

Patzy85 · 31/01/2016 20:08

Here is another example of the data FL 'business owners' hold on the people they plan to sell to and prospect.

Note the hot button and how they use it when contacting people. Awful.

And why do they need to know if people drive/are married/ages of children? I hate the whole thing as I KNOW that I have had these profiles made by several bots now.

If you have been contacted for any reason by a bot you know, this has been done anout you and your family!

Lovewineandchocs · 31/01/2016 20:09

Interestingly FLP Ireland are not registered-their office is in NI, they process data in NI so I really can't understand why they aren't registered. I shall have to do a bit of digging in my DP capacity

Patzy85 · 31/01/2016 20:10

More people should be made aware.

Maybe a Timeless Vie post about the profiles you must make on your friends/family/neighbours/hairdresser/person who bought your TV cabinet in 2006.

FLhahaha · 31/01/2016 20:15

Patzy would that info be held on a computer or purely paper based? I would imagine (particularly given all the computer shots we know and love!) that these days people would keep lists on a computer?

Lovewineandchocs · 31/01/2016 20:19

You are quite right, I have had another look. I think when I first did the questionnaire I didn't fully understand what would be done with the info so probably answered yes to the first question. Also we were encouraged to write lists out and given a set of index cards so I wasn't holding anything electronically at the time. I believe the current Information Commissioner would be interested in this as it is the kind of thing he likes to get his teeth into! Grin his term ends in June though so let's hope we get someone else equally gung-ho! Grin

Patzy85 · 31/01/2016 20:23

I would imagine done electronically although I could be wrong. Either way I am massively uncomfortable with having such a profile being made without any consent, well without even being made aware!

I know my bot passed it to her up line as her sponsor contacted me. Twice.

Not pleased at all!

Kanga59 · 31/01/2016 20:25

Everytime I see a RECRUITING NOW! post on a local facebook selling site, I message the admins of that site with a link to the Timeless vie blog and facebook page. And kindly request that they remove the advertising post. 100% success rate so far!

Eyespying · 31/01/2016 20:27

Patzy85 Thanks. What you have just provided is irrefutable documentary evidence that US-based 'MLM' mobs have created vast intelligence gathering machines in Britain right under the noses of the authorities. Remember, this is just the first stage in collecting confidential information and creating detailed psychological/financial profiles of 'MLM' victims and of all their friends and relations. As an adherent progresses deeper in the cult and its thought reform program, he/she is deceived into divulging more and more confidential information about him/herself, and about his/her friends and relations who are being recruited, on the pretext that 'Upline only needs this information to be able to advise the adherent on how best to commit financial suicide build his/her business.'

Kanga59 · 31/01/2016 20:28

Regarding Data Protection. FL has a legal obligation to provide all of its distributors with training of the Data Protection Act surely?

Lovewineandchocs · 31/01/2016 21:00

kanga
I will check this out but I think only the company's employees would have to get DP training-if its business owners are classed as self-employed they are not technically processing personal data on behalf of the company. There may well be an online training video somewhere but if so I don't know anyone who has seen it-when I brought the DPA to my upline's attention I was told not to mention it in training as it would "go down like a lead balloon". People are very much told to sort the legal aspects out for themselves as it is "their business." Yet another reason why people fail, they don't teach you how to run a business, only how to harass and annoy people. Calling themselves entrepreneurs is a massive insult to genuine ones!

Mootpointer · 31/01/2016 21:04

patzy85 the Teach to reach booklet was revamped and renamed about Nov 2013. Now called First steps to Manager. Very glossy it is.Likely it's due for another revamp
FLbots are strongly encouraged to buy these and other marketing materials. One of many extras that have to be purchased.

www.onlineflp.com/media/files/First-Steps-to-Manager-01700-I-Singles.pdf

A high number of the top bots have their own little sideline products to sell to the downlines and these are recommended relentlessly at the success days. They all seem to do very well out of it.
Don't get me started on the Success days! I managed 2.
Would any others like to chip in with their experiences (with whichever company you were with)? I am sure people would love to know.

To all ex network marketers who got out/saw the truth, that are on this thread and beyond, proud of you people. Grin

Resideria · 31/01/2016 21:14

From the link bestcompany.com/mlm/company/forever-living/:

"The company has over 9.4 million distributors worldwide in its network. Forever Living generates over $2.5 billion in annual sales."

Does this mean that every distributor generates annual sales of around $266, i.e. their starter pack plus a bit extra? This would clearly show that the company makes its money mainly through signing up new bots.

Eyespying · 31/01/2016 21:27

Resideria The 'FLP' Ministry of Truth likes to claim 9.4 millions 'Distributors,' but the accepted figures reveal that more than 60% of persons who are currently under annual contract to 'FLP' as so-called 'Distributors' will fail to renew their next annual contract. The retention rates for more than one year are small, but the retention rates for more than 5 years are tiny.

Exponentially, this means that since the racket was first instigated, the hidden, overall, rolling churn-rate in the so-called 'FLP income opportunity' has been efectively-100%.

kamchatka23 · 31/01/2016 21:52

My bot has just posted an announcement video saying she's leaving FL and moving to this other 'fantastic opportunity!!' She's trying to get people interested by being mysterious, but a quick perusal of the people liking her video suggest it's this Ariix company.

Motorheadmum · 31/01/2016 21:52

I luckily didn't go to any of the success days... My time with Arbonne was too short! I did listen to a couple of the calls and they were very odd.

At the time Arbonne weren't pushing you to post the social media quotes I see now. I have a FL lady and an ex JP lady who is now with the opportunity company who have recently been posting videos of themselves talking about their opportunities... They don't seem to be getting as many likes or comments as they were before
