Do any banks let you pick up a new card at a bank rather than sent to home address

Hi,

I was just wondering as a while back I lost my debit card and was in another part of country for a few weeks so would have been easier to pick up a new one at a nearby bank than wait until I got home.

I remember barclays used to say on an advert that if you lost one of their cards you could pick up a new one later that day.

Was just wondering if any banks let you pick up a new card at a local branch rather than getting it sent home?

Thanks
