my husband of many years has just died and I have found out that he was at least £11k in debt which i did not know about. this seems to be mainly on one credit card
this debt is in his name only.

we were council tenants so did not own our property and I have no assets or money other than my small state pension.

i simply dont know what to do and I am at my wits end with worry over this please can you help with any advice

You won't be liable for his debts that are solely in his name.

apologies - i have just found more letters and he was actually dealing with step change debt charity - it looks like they have consolidated all of his debts and he was paying them a monthly amount
