Still continuing the discussion of the various network marketing schemes or multi-level marketing schemes (MLMs) that people we know are involved in.

If you have an MLM bot of your own then join us and share their claims and content.

Or if you are researching a company before signing up to be a network marketer please take a look at the previous threads here and here and also this thread which delves deeper into the workings of MLMs.

And don't forget our very own MN MLM Timeless Vie!

They're all in NH's team, not sponsored by her but all in her downline

CheekySmile · 30/12/2015 18:57

Just popping on briefly as I'm on holiday, actual real life holiday, in Cornwall at the moment and catching up with the thread while I have a decent internet connection!

There's some fab work being done on the thread! Finding outrageous claims and calling out the bots, love it! There's some great stuff for the TV FB page too.

FYI as there are so many new contributors, which is fantastic, the blog is run by lastuseraccount123 so any blog ideas, or posts you'd like to write yourself and submit, should be directed to her. The FB page admins are myself and lazycoo so send ideas etc our way.

And finally, this is the MN ad I got at the top of this thread just now...!

MNHQ are you seriously letting adverts for MLM onto your site or has this nothing to do with you??

BlueThursday · 30/12/2015 21:19

This is spooky that came up on DHs Facebook today although I didn't see it. It led us to talking about a thread on MN on protecting the house.

That number plate, if not a photoshop, is illegal. All number plates require proof of manufacturer on them, including postcode.

It appears to be a shame that a car very recently purchased has gone and not many people will have been able to see her drive it

LittleMissStubborn · 30/12/2015 21:44

It is a truly horrific thing to happen to anyone and I am glad they are OK.

BlueThursday · 30/12/2015 21:51

It's awful round here it's happening so frequently.

Could this woman's FB posts have been the reason her house was targeted?

LittleMissStubborn · 30/12/2015 22:08

Possibly, but more likely just them randomly targeting.

I think the idea that the local not so friendly burglar is spending hours doing research on fb is a bit of a myth. Much easier to just drive down the posh roads.

BlueThursday · 30/12/2015 22:09

Grin true

Glad I live in the non posh bit Grin

lastuseraccount123 · 30/12/2015 22:11

wow can't keep up with it all.

please please please begs screenshot anything you come across. I am downloading stufff when i can to create new posts. and thankyou.

lastuseraccount123 · 30/12/2015 22:15

a shout out to darceybussell - great job on the screenshots! I've been planning a post on the BS bots say for a while so these are excellent additions.

darceybussell · 30/12/2015 22:37

You are very welcome Smile

IAmNotDarling · 31/12/2015 07:53

Hang on - if she was asleep, how does she know that they were armed?

LittleMissStubborn · 31/12/2015 08:15

They may have been woken up. They would have entered the house with the intention of getting the keys and getting them no matter what. Many people take their keys upstairs to bed with them, so they may well have entered the bedroom.

Regardless of how it happened someone breaking into your house and taking your possessions is a horrible thing to happen and I think people should only have sympathy in this situation.

LittleMissStubborn · 31/12/2015 08:20

Sadly she is unlikely to ever see the car again, car thief is unlikely to be driving it around. It is most likely in a storage container ready to be shipped abroad somewhere. And if it is still in the UK it will likely have false plates on.

BlueThursday · 31/12/2015 08:49

It'll be long gone I agree. I saw on Facebook the car had no tracker fitted. Our insurance co insisted we get one for ours so it's a shame hers doesn't have one Sad

I know they can be ripped out but it can definitely buy time to locate the car

NettleTea · 31/12/2015 09:32

is it true though? Or a terribly story to gain sympathy and explain an absence of car to friends and neighbours....
got my cynical hat on this morning

Annie65 · 31/12/2015 09:45

On the comments her partner, husband not sure, woke up and chased them outside, but stood back when he realised they were armed, thats when they took the car. Should imagine its true because if it isnt they could get into trouble by publicising it. We will carry on reading the comments with interest but I am glad no one was hurt. On another note the Skibot has not put on any other photos which I find strange, somebody asked where the photo was taken, and somebody commented " from the internet". Made me chuckle. Grin

Siwi · 31/12/2015 09:47

Which is the link to ski bot?

bettyberry · 31/12/2015 10:26

I'm so very tempted to put a poorly photoshopped pic of her into that ski resort pic and post it Grin Shock

ooh maybe that could be a TV thing on the blog? a poorly photoshopped pic of feet onto exotic locations? ooh anyone have any of those posters of exotic locations they could stick their feet in front of and take a picture? Bit like this?

acatcalledjohn · 31/12/2015 10:35

The adverts will be based on your cookies, and seeing as we all spend a lot of time browsing for dirt on MLMs, our adverts will be tailored as such.

Since I've been on MN childless little me with no intention of ever having DCs gets Clear Blue and Nurofen for Children adverts on YouTube almost every time.

LittleMissStubborn · 31/12/2015 10:37

^ I'd been thinking the same, but stock photos of places we obviously couldn't be due to weather conditions or seasons.

bettyberry · 31/12/2015 10:53

LittleMissStubborn some historic sites closed to the public or even some truly awful holiday destinations like a sewage works? ;)
