Hi, I am coming up to the end of my 39 weeks maternity leave.
As I understand, SMP will end at 39 weeks.
I would like to take the additional 13 weeks leave which is unpaid.
Does anyone know if I need to tell the tax credits office if I take the unpaid leave?
Would I still be entitled to child tax and working tax credits?
If not then would I be able to claim anything else such as income support until I go back to work?
I live on my own with children, no partner.
