Continuing the discussion of the various network marketing schemes or multi-level marketing schemes (MLMs) that people we know are involved in.

If you have a bot of your own then join us and share what they are saying!

Or if you are researching a company before signing up to be a network marketer please take a look at the previous bot watch thread and also this thread which delves deeper into the workings of MLMs.

And don't forget our very own MN MLM Timeless Vie!

Lifestyle guru GrinGrinGrin. So tempted to change my profession to that on FB now!

lastuseraccount123 · 24/11/2015 19:53

well, we at TV are even more betterer. We're parsley gurus, that's what we are. #parsley don't get cancer Grin

Christmaspanties · 24/11/2015 20:05

To be totally honest I struggle with the parsley cancer tag line, probably just a little close to home for me.

I am so glad I have found this thread.
I have so many FL bots. They are my guilty pleasure on FB Wink
Initially did purchase some items when I met my first but they were very expensive for what they were.
A lot of my school and nursery mum friends are signing up for it including the lady that does my hair, so I know what we will be talking about at my next appointment Hmm

Pigeonpost · 24/11/2015 20:48

UW is crap. DH looked into it a few years ago after a friend bot sold him the line but it didn't save us anything. DH is v good at keeping on top of the best rates for utilities via USwitch etc so not the sort of person UW is aimed at. I'd be embarrassed driving that bloody Mini though. One of the school mums has one, looks shit.

One of my Arbots has just posted about one of her team and her shiny new white Merc. Oh dear. And I've had two friends turn into Younique bots in the last few weeks. I just keep removing myself from their stupid groups. I'm perfectly fine with my Aldi mascara thanks Grin

lastuseraccount123 · 24/11/2015 21:06

it bothers me more that other MLMs (forever living, cough, cough) claim their shite products can help with cancer and exploit vulnerable people.

acatcalledjohn · 24/11/2015 21:09

Christmaspanties, don't take it to heart. It is used as an exaggeration of the 'great if you....are going through chemo' type lines which actual bots have been known to come out with.

Sorry it is close to home for you. Thanks

stopfaffing · 24/11/2015 21:23

I have heard a rumour that my school's upcoming Christmas Fayre will have a lady selling 'aloe vera' products. Does this mean my community will soon be flooded with locals mums desperately selling fl products and hounding their family, friends and neighbours to join #thisfabulousamazingbusinessopportunity?

Will keep you posted...

SweetieXPie · 24/11/2015 21:37

Yes stopfaffing.
That is how it started with our school/nursery, now so many of them are doing it, they are all fighting for the table tops Hmm
If I have to listen to the sales pitch again, I will openly have to rolly eyes

lastuseraccount123 · 24/11/2015 23:02

thought you all might like a TV website update.

So far we've had over 500 unique visitors and over 1,500 views.

Christmaspanties · 25/11/2015 06:22

I need a fake FB account so I can interact on the timelessvie FB page. If anyone here wants to be my fake friend on FB send me a pm Smile

AJFsmummy · 25/11/2015 09:17

My bot is doing a 30days 30offers......no one so far has liked pics or made comments.......I have them all going 10 to the dozen on Christmas shite and they are all lurking out of the wood work...
...bodyshop at home now too.

Tiredemma · 25/11/2015 10:25

My one bot ( I have about 10) has done a 'vote/poll' -

"Would you like to some of my best selling products FREE for 72 hours, with no obligation to buy, I am looking for people to review these amazing products. As a thank you complete the free prize draw and you could be in a chance to win a prize.

Yes, rush me the PUPP basket

No, thank you not interested

Not at the moment but maybe in the future

Please could I have more information"

No one has ticked anything.

Christmaspanties · 25/11/2015 10:44

One of mine rather cleverly on her personal FB page ran a raffle which you got entered into if you let the bot advertise her fl business on your FB page. Like the post if you agree / want to be entered type thing. She got about about 30 likes and one in return got a free fl product - she never said what product it was. Bot of course now has 30 more names to add to her hot leads list ....

Ememem84 · 25/11/2015 12:38

i had someone following me on FB a while ago. and i succumbed to temptation the other day and asked her for more information. because i wanted to know which of the MLM's it was. turns out its Forever Living aloe nonsense.

i can earn my full time wage in just 8 hours a week. doubtful it takes me 35 hours a week to do that

i'll be happier pretty happy now thanks

health benefits from aloe for an "indoors office person" i spend a lot of time outside

etc etc etc

twice today she's hounded me and asked me if i want to join. i've said no politely now three times in total.

and this morning have taken a picture of me with my aloe plant, i licked it (did mention to her that i already have one...and asked what i could do to make money from it) and have posted it on my FB page with #foreverlovingaloe #lifeisgreatwithmyaloe #iheartaloe

she's liked every single one of my pics. am annoyed she didn't realise i was being ironic/stupid/sarcastic

am obviously keeping her as a FB friend though. just for pure entertainment value. and to see how many succumb to join "her" business

rayofhope · 25/11/2015 12:55

The pupp boxes are good as they then get your details to see if you want to join the business. A lot of people try the basket then feel like they should buy something.

Ememem84 your bot will probably keep asking. She'll note down that you've said no and come back to you again in the coming months (as it's a no for now, not a no forever.......)

I've had someone in my fb friends just join nuskin, all her friends seem to be going crazy for their toothpaste......

If you guys do realise a friend has given up on mlm (as probably 90% of them will) be kind, they are probably feeling a bit crap about it all and probably even lost money. So far no one has asked me if I've stopped but then I wasn't a crazy bot anyway. But I'll feel awkward telling them I don't do it anymore as what can I say, I'll just look like I've failed. I think I'll just say it wasn't all that it's cracked up to be and leave it at that.......

Christmaspanties · 25/11/2015 13:45

Ray don't worry I'd be kind if one of my friends gives up, I'd be so relieved for them. I miss when they used to be able to have a normal conversation. I bet they'd blame themselves when really they've just been sucked in.

Christmaspanties · 25/11/2015 13:46

Why are they called pupp boxes?

Annie65 · 25/11/2015 14:01

Think Ive read it right ( checked it several times) a bot of a bot has shown a cheque on her fb. She says its the first cheque from FL for her now global business. She has been in the (scam) for over 1 year. The cheque is for ......... wait for it..........£264.34. Perhaps her business hasnt been global for long, dont really get it, but makes me wonder how much the cheques are for when the bots discreetly hide the amount, but this bots bragging about her cheques amount Confused

Christmaspanties · 25/11/2015 14:11

That's a good point Annie is all their pay via cheques or just their bonuses? Either way that's not a large sum compared to what they will have invested in their 'business'.

CheekySmile · 25/11/2015 14:54

Pupp is Personal Use Product Pack I think.

Have some good screenshots to share later! Just checking in for now, so back to work it is loser with a job that I am

xenu1 · 25/11/2015 14:58

Christmaspanties "Why are they called pupp boxes?"

Personal Use Product Pack. A grab-bag of FL "goodies" to leave with prospects. The great benefit to FL of course is that pupp boxes are expensive and bots have to buy them ("But huns, it all counts for the month's CC quota!" I hear them cry :) Just another way for the bots to buy from FL...)
foreveraloeverashop.co.uk/about/combo-packs/personal-use-product-pack-pupp/

If you can bear it, there's a tedious lecture on how to utilise pupp boxes to drive "growth" in your downline...

(They are not a patch on the £299 Timeless VIE "InfinityPack" (tm) tho :) )

bettyberry · 25/11/2015 15:00

PUPP - Personal Use Product Pack. Basically the 'pupp box' contains all the products you get when you do the £200 sign up and you are meant to pass the thing around to get people interested.

Personally I wont use products from a bottle a stranger has used because I don't know how grubby they are Grin I prefer to be given the smaller free samples you see everywhere.

Gawd... All this info I have absorbed about FL I could pass as a bot #bossbabe

bettyberry · 25/11/2015 15:03

Also.. I have been blocked and my comments on a post deleted when I asked for more info on FL. I specified I wants to know the income/outgoings I can expect also the turnover and profits and her projections before I invest in her and FL.

Totally reasonable business questions.
