MLM bot watch - Discussion of the network marketing companies Forever Living, Herbal Life, Juice Plus etc as a pyramid scheme or scam

Continuing the discussion of the various network marketing schemes or multi-level marketing schemes (MLMs) that people we know are involved in.

If you have a bot of your own then join us and share what they are saying!

Or if you are researching a company before signing up to be a network marketer please take a look at the previous bot watch thread and also this thread which delves deeper into the workings of MLMs.

And don't forget our very own MN MLM Timeless Vie!

Interesting post from Sarah just after Agnes's post. Especially the part where there is a lot of pressure on the down-liners to make sure their up-liners get their promotions, even to the point of them getting into debt. "Merchants of Deception"comes to mind, again.

shirleyknotanotherbot · 18/11/2015 14:32

And just checking up on my UWbot. She seems to now have also joined something called BzzAgent UK. Seems to be reviewing products on FB. Must be some gain for her (free products?) and for the organisation (cheap advertising?). I think I'm getting old Hmm

I love this thread! I have so many herbalife and FL bots that I am constantly laughing at their ridiculous identical posts. I have been lurking for ages and wondering whether to join in as I used to socialise a lot with NH many moons ago! Before her FL days.I don't want to out myself as we still have mutual friends and I was hoping one of them would have a big birthday party where I could have grilled NH but unfortunately this person didn't.
I would expect NH to get decent maintenance payments tbh as she definitely never went out with people who couldn't treat her to the good life and knew how to get the best for herself. I don't know for certain though what her relationship with him is.
At the moment I am definitely the type of person FL targets and I have considered messaging her to ask what it involves but with no intention of getting suckered in. Don't know if I am brave enough though!
Love the timeless vie website too. Considering inviting all my bots to like the page each time they invite me to a Shiite online party!

shirleyknotanotherbot · 18/11/2015 15:11

Ooh Norma, you definitely should Wink

Sorry to spam this thread today but I have just seen a post on my FBbot's page that says she has been invited to a conference in Vegas next year and one of the hosts is Richard Branson! Is no one sacred??

lazycoo · 18/11/2015 16:12

Hello new people! Great to see you! (Hello everyone else too Grin)

^And our consciences are clear aren't they? We don't sell our friends out. I got blocked by one FL bot for asking her how she managed to sleep at night after pestering and ripping off so many of her friends.
They're right though when they say #callthiswork. It's not work, is it? It's cheating and lying and giving people false hopes. Brainwashing them, for little money, so it's not work, it's exploitation. You and your downline are being exploited.^

^this exactly sminky

And cheeky that is amazing intelligence you got there. Classic cult stuff. Average people suck, average people can fuck off, follow our rules and you will be amazing.

I particularly like this one from Perform Success Global. "I have built one of the top businesses in the Uk... and a multiple 6 figure income"

Yeah, right

thanks cat I also have to shout out to my fellow co-admins Cheeky and lazy as well and all the great memes and information digging you and everyone else is doing on this thread, the PMs we've recieved at the TV FB page with more info, etc. This really is a TEAM effort (and a real team, not a bunch of victims to suck money from) and I/we really couldn't do it without all your help. I really appreciate it, I really really do. Go TV and go Mumsnet! Grin

lastuseraccount123 · 18/11/2015 17:12

also, to those who are sharing FB posts/memes etc - can yo please let me know in your post if you don't want me putting it on the website and/or you want me to remove identifitying features? thanks. same for any that are PM'd to us at TV FB page too. Thanks a lot.

lastuseraccount123 · 18/11/2015 17:15

i have so many posts I want to do on the website, I need to make a list. Does anyone want to nominate a post they'd really like to see? Speak now.

lastuseraccount123 · 18/11/2015 17:21

AND we are at 235 likes! wow. just wow. we are getting new likes every day.

WindyMillersProbationOfficer · 18/11/2015 17:22

I'm slightly amused by the fact that Emma Cooper's 'best friend of over 30 years' has only just given in decided to join FL. I'm surprised she even has non-FL friends remaining.

sminkypink · 18/11/2015 17:29

Here's the Flavon Max website. www.flavonmax.com/en

At £30 a flippin' jar you'd think they'd be able to afford a decent translator. This MLM looks pretty new in the UK but my (ex) friend is obviously hooked. Think it's Polish.
But what does it do? I'm not entirely clear. All I know is that the sales reps/bullshit artistes are breaking the law, if they, like my (ex) friend are making claims that it can cure my arthritis.

lastuseraccount123 · 18/11/2015 17:38

ALERT ALERT bot has replied to comments on the website ALERT

bunchedpanties · 18/11/2015 17:52

lastuser I'd really love a blog post that works as one we can link people too when we first try to get them to understand why a mlm won't make them rich. As much as these MN threads are ace they certainly don't make for concise reading!

bunchedpanties · 18/11/2015 17:54

What is the website address, I'm clearly being dense.

lazycoo · 18/11/2015 18:02

... But what does the bot DO? He/she still doesn't tell us! It's all so intriguing! And it's 'notabot' according to the email address provided? It's like a new way to say 'inbox me hun'! and let's get this offline Hmm

CatBlaster · 18/11/2015 18:10

I agree, a well written, concise blog post with all the basic critique of MLM's could be really useful. Whilst I know there are other blog posts out there, some of them are quite wordy, eye-achingly difficult to read due to blog design or writing style.

And yes, link to website please? I'm losing track!

I agree with the idea of a blog post summarising the argument for not signing up to an MLM. That would be so useful to point people towards.

Thanks for the NM login acat, I couldn't wait to get into it with her! Although I did keep keep typing 'bot' and having to change it to FBO.

When the bots talk about retiring after 5 years do they mean it'll be because they've earned enough to never work again and so they can leave FL, or do they mean that their downline will be continuing to bring the money in for them because we know they have to stay 4CC active to earn the big money don't we, so where's the retiring there? Confused
